Wrestling future of a second generation star in jeopardy

Richie Steamboat, the son of WWE hall of famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, will be undergoing back surgery shortly under Dr. Joseph Maroon in Pittsburgh. The former FCW tag team champion has been out of action for months with back problems. The injury was bad enough that there is a lot of concern whether he’ll be able to continue, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. With the surgery, it’ll be months before he’ll be back in action.

This is the same injury that retired his father back in 1994. I hope he pulls through.

    So that’s where he’s been.

I hope he can recover. Would be a shame to see a young career go down so soon.

Wish the very best for Richie. Without a doubt one of the most impressive talents in NXT.
