    Too many to choose from

  2. RJ Ace says:

Diesel was WWF champ almost the entire year, Lawrence Taylor main evented Wrestlemania, Mabel won KOTR, and Bob Backlund was a featured act 15 years past his prime,

Hulk Hogan vs The Dugeon of Doom…That is all.

  3. jake says:

The few years after shawn retired before punk exploded and we were stuck with the worst of the cena reign of terror and nothing much else.

  4. Zach says:

@RJ very valid points and the reason I almost said 96 but in my opinion 2001 happened to be a worse year, the closing of ECW and the WCW 99 bad Owen, Rude, and Gorilla all died.

  5. Zach says:

*99 was bad too with the passing of Owen Hart, Rick Rude, and Gorilla Monsoon

  6. Guled says:

the fruity title reign of john cena.

  7. Mackdeezy says:

    2008. Nuff said.

  8. The worst says:

    95 & 2010.

  9. Tommy says:

    2007 :
Boring Raws with almost only Cena, Orton and HHH in the main event
SmackDown not as good as the previous years, with Kennedy losing the MitB briefcase and Khali as World Champion.
ECW’s legacy definitly being destroyed (despite a good end with Nitro/Morrison and Punk).
TNA becoming Total Nonstop Angle, with underexposure of the X Division
And I wasn’t that much into ROH that year, between 2006 and 2008 that were really great.

I’ll go with 2007 because of Chris Benoit. After that, wrestling was under such scrutiny from everyone. You had the infamous “Dead Before 65” list that was used to villify the entire industry and show that wrestlers are nothing but drug addicts. Meanwhile, no one was actually looking at the list to see people who died from causes not drug related. The media on the subject was populated with people who wanted to help/bitter ex-wrestlers and people trying to offer another side/people just wanting to stay in Vince McMahon’s good graces, depending on what side you were on. Saying you were a wrestling fan wasn’t exactly easy.

  11. Maximillion Pegasus says:

2009-2011, with the terrible guest hosts and the complete watering down of every last bit of the WWE as well as the firing of several young, deserving talents

  12. Zachery Badman says:

In my opinion 2007 was even WresleMania was except the undertaker-Batista match it was all crap

  13. Nick Walters says:

The only good years were the 80’s and 97-2000. So every other year are the worst years

  14. Jimmypink says:

    The last decade

2013 Is off to a great start! Ratings speak for themselves!

  16. T says:

93 – 95 : Just awful. The fake Taker match headlining a PPV, The Doink and Dink nonsense. The Bushwackers on PPV, Men on a Mission, Ludvig Borga, Billionaire Ted skits, LT vs Bam Bam, The Godwinns, Issac Yankem, Buddy Landel on a PPV….etc.

2007 : Benoit death, the who killed Vince storyline, Hornswoggle as Cruiserweight champ, Khali as champ..etc (Wasn’t the Tim White suicide storyline this year?)

  17. Guled says:

    @ T- that was 2005
