Jeremy Borash via Twitter:

True story. Many yrs ago, was brainstorming possible PPV names over a few drinks, when Shark Boy chimed in with “What about #Slammiversary?”

    It’s a stupid name, really.

    @ADURKA DURK your name is stupid, really

    I’ll refute the previous statement. Slammiversary is a cool name. You sir, have a stupid name. Or maybe not. Everything’s subjective. But there’s no need for statements like that. That’s just a stupid comment to make

  4. Mr. Black says:

    Good ole’ Shark Boy. Slammiversary isn’t so bad, Hard Justice is pretty awful. Adurka Durk’s comment shouldn’t surprise anyone, you’re incredibly cynical.

  5. Adurka Durk says:

    Slamboree is stupid. Summer Slam is stupid. Slammiversary is astronomically stupid.

    God tier names are like Survivor Series, or The Great American Bash.

    Don’t hate on me because you think it’s a great idea to mash Slam and other words together. You’re stupid if you do.

    @Adurka Durk
    It’s called marketing. And guess what- mashing up slam with other words sticks out in people’s minds. Malone fun word plays is what gets people’s attentions, and can possibly bring in money. It’s not stupid, it’s money. Money, money, money.

  8. Adurka Durk says:

    It’s stupid. And if its marketing, it’s bad marketing and further strengthens the argument that those who pay money for something called Slammiversary or Slambotee are uneducated red necks.
