’98. It’s close. There’s been a lot of good years. ’87 was a pretty big year with some cool stuff. And ’97 was good with the early attitude era and the NWO running strong. But I think 98 was the overall best year. It’s when the WWF and WCW were really in the heat of competition. Austin became a huge star, Foley got thrown off the Cell, RVD’s TV title run and all those great matches, especially the RVD Jerry Lynn matches. the NWO still had some legs, but WCW also had the great Cruiserweight talents to fall back on. ECW was having one of its best years, an all in all, a lot of the great stuff that people talk about from this era went down in 1998. Some great matches, some great storylines, Mike Tyson knocked out HBK, and overall there was some great wrestling all around, minus the Ultimate Warrior in WCW

97 or 98 but I’m actually stoked about this year, punk daniels, ziggler, the shield, the wyatt family coming up, big e, jericho putting ppl over left and right, Axel finally getting some spotlight, and even tho they lose a lot barrett and cesaro are always on the tube. Brock doing the monster heel bit, heyman running a stable … plus the developmental is full of great talent and some little guys like the usos and gabriel getting tv time on main event… plus i actually like ryback as a heel

Everyone’s going to put a year from the late 90s.

Looking back, 1992 was a really fun year. Maybe it’s because I was 11 years old. Best Rumble ever, fond memories of Mania and Summerslam. WCW was a watchable alternative and the workers were solid and the booking was inoffensive. It was the beginning of a lull in the industry, I know, but that was a really fun time.

Very difficult, between 1999 and 2000 for me.

I understand some fan’s can pinpoint a specific year, been watching wrestling for close to 30 years and I can’t think of one specific year, era’s or decades, yes.

The beginning of the “war” between WWF and WCW
ECW was at it best with the beginning of Raven
