Bully Ray: “tag team wrestling is almost extinct”

A tidbit from today’s conference call with Bully Ray. The champ is asking about the state of tag team wrestling.

“There is no state of the tag team division anywhere. Unfortunately, tag team wrestling is almost extinct. As great as Daniels and Frankie are, you can’t build a tag team wrestling around that because there aren’t enough teams. Until they put the focus on trying to rebuilt It (the division), it won’t happen. Devon and I got to work with some great teams in both WWE and TNA.”

sadly, this trend has been going on for several years now. WWE & TNA don’t give a crap about tag team wrestling. it’s just something that happens to keep a storyline going among a few singles wrestlers.

PWG’s DDT features phenomenal tag team wrestling.

Chikara has several tag teams too…

Unfortunately on the big scene he is right…I am a hgue fan of tag team wrestling and it is one thing that TNA had for so many years that WWE left behind…hopefully they can have it once again.
