“Fast and Furious 6” becomes another #1 movie for The Rock

Fast and Furious 6 with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson sped to the top of the
box office chart with a weekend of $98.5 million in box office receipts in
addition to $177 million in worldwide box office for a total of $275.5
million (not taking into consideration today’s estimates). The latest
installment in the Fast & Furious franchise had the best opening weekend
in the history of the franchise, beating out its predecessor by almost $12
million according to This is The Rock’s third number
one movie in the first five months of 2013 out of his four movies. G.I.
Joe: Retaliation and Pain & Gain both made their debut in the first place
while Snitch opened in second.

    I went to see it in the theaters. I liked it, outside of one incredibly fake stunt they did.

    Fast and the Furious has become a great action franchise instead of just a movie about fast cars. This one finally ties Tokyo Drift in and I can’t wait for #7

    I love this franchise minus the 3rd movie but all the rest were good this last one was awesome everybody should go see it.

    Sports, TV Ratings, Attendance of every kind is measured in actual attendance numbers so that you can compare them from year to year, generation to generation. Yet for some reason Movies are measured in money & not attendance so there is no real way to compare how well a movie really did to previous movies other then those that released sometime withing a few months of it.
