Hector Garza 1969-2013

Hector Garza who became one of the biggest lucha libre crossover stars of the late 90’s died today at the age of 43 just 17 days short of his 44th birthday due to complications from lung cancer which has been battling since last year. More on this in tomorrow’s lucha report but a very sad day in the world of wrestling.

    That’s totally unfortunate. I loved his work all over the world, whether it was in WWF, WCW, NJPW, TNA, AAA, or CMLL. I’m definitely going to miss the original human tornado.

    i remember seeing him a lot on WCW programming in the 90s, back when WCW used the luchadors heavily. i’ve seen some of his TNA appearances, as well. always a talented fellow.
