Wow his own employers can’t shell out a measly 30 grand to pay his expenses? Nice business you got going TNA

  2. Adurka Durk says:

Get a real job and insurance.

  3. Boogeyman says:

This sums up how amateur and indy tna still is

  4. Ryan says:

Not to be mean, but how is it other peoples job to pay for this?

Ever since scott hall was able to raise the money for his surgery ever injured wrestler now thinks they can do the same thing. Its quite sad actually I really feel sorry for these guys

The difference between this and the Scott Hall thing is you got rewards for donating your money to him, so people are more inclined to pay money when they know they get something in return. With this, you are basically just paying for the guy’s bills with no get back. Sucks he got hurt but I can’t even pay my own medical bills because of no insurance, so I’m not about to shell out my money to someone else. Kudos to those that have money to toss around, though.

This is just sad and pathetic, dude needs to get a real job in order to support himself, coz we fans of what they do then its automatically our obligation to get them fixed, tna, you should be ashamed of themselves to call themselves a wrestling institution the guy did the work and now that he needs assistance then you can’t help, dixie carter needs to grow a pair and the others part of management need to take theirs out their asses and help out these guys work their asses of day in and day out and strive to put their “mediocre company” on the map, truly sad and pathetic, he will probably be in the dog house now for bringing them negative publicity

As much as I agree with everyone in thinking that TNA should step up and help pay his medical expenses, what everyone is ignoring is that he’s classified as an independent contractor & TNA is under no obligations/requirements to help him pay his bills. They didn’t pay for Konnan’s hip replacement a few years ago. They paid for Scott Steiner’s throat surgery as a loan thanks to Jeff Jarrett. Jesse Sorensen broke his neck & didn’t get any help with his bills (although TNA did keep paying his salary & gave him an office job). I hear a lot of people talk about how wrestlers should form a union, and while it could help in situations like this, it would also put a lot of Indy promotions out of business because they wouldn’t be able to afford the extra expenses.

Eddie – stuff Scott did was autographs phone calls skyping to fans and also a few people who have large amounts of money got to stay with ddp hall and Jake Roberts for a weekend. Stuff like that.

I will donate $5. God bless you brother, hopefully your tumor is non cancerous.

Here is the thing that pisses me off about TNA. It is not the fact that they rarely if ever offer to help their employees out with their medical expenses like Vince often does. They are not required to, especially for non wrestling related issues. It is not that Daffney had to sue TNA. That is the way it works, you have to file a claim and then often resort to legal action with workmans comp. What pisses me off is that they pay their talent so little to begin with. Wrestling is a dangerous occupation. So dangerous that wrestlers are under high risk health insurance. Most TNA employees, except for the lucky few, simply could not afford to pay the premiums with the compensation that most TNA workers have reportedly been receiving over the years. That makes TNA anything but the “family” that Dixie is always chirping about, unless she means an abusive family. TNA treats it talent like circus animals. They either need to pay ALL their talent enough to where they can afford insurance or stop with the hypocritical family B.S. Because currently, they are no different than any other sleazy indy promotion that doesn’t pay its talent. In fact, it is better to be employed on the indies for the vast majority of under-card talent because you can at least control your own dates. TNA is a fools paradise for anyone who is not making six figures and if you embarrass them by reporting your situation like Jessie Neal, they will apparently punish you for making their predatory practices look bad.
