Khali’s manager booked for assault

The Rewari police on Friday booked the manager of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star ‘The Great Khali’ (real name Dalip Singh Rana) for attacking a shopkeeper.

The accused has been identified as Amit Swami, 40, a resident of Rewari who manages the US-based wrestler’s events when he visits India.

The case has been registered under sections 148 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Two things: Khali is still on the roster? Second, he has a manager?

  2. Matt says:

Oh wow it’s his real agent. I thought it meant Ramjin Singh that got in trouble lol.

    @ Due Love

    1. Yes? Do you not watch WWE or something. He’s usually on at least one of the shows weekly.

    2. Most people in performing industries do. As someone who no doubt has several gigs during his trips to India, it seems quite logical he would have an agent. I assume you are thinking of an indy wrestler POV on that most wrestlers wouldn’t be able to afford an agent, but most of them probably do, especially someone like Khali that is allowed other projects especially during his Indian trips.

Chances are the majority of the people on the main roster have or at least consult with an agent. On the developmental side it may be less but chances are one will find them should WWE start to care.

@Matt…he was probably thinking on screen manager/agent, since that is what you ALSO thought and probably everyone who reads the title is thinking

  4. Dude Love says:

@Ian Thank you for understanding me immediately and taking it as the joke it was intended to be. Some people have no sense of humor. But I honestly had no idea he had an on-screen “manager”. Sheesh, some people’s kids.
