While she was in the UK just recently, TNA President Dixie Carter did an
interview with entertainment website Digital Spy to discuss the upcoming
TNA tour in the UK in 2014 and an idea that will probably never happen.
Carter said that she would be open to hold a TNA/WWE crossover event
although she doesn’t think that WWE shares her belief. “I absolutely would
do that. I’m not sure if they would do that, but I absolutely would,”
Carter said. The TNA President also said that the “rivalry” between the
two companies benefits both as competition is healthy. “I think it’s
important for fans and for us. To have one company dominate, a) it’s
boring, and b) you are not being challenged enough. It’s always better to
have other options out there and I truly believe it makes both companies
better.”

id rather see her legs be open on a porn website

  2. JTJ says:

Yeah Frank because the closest you’ll ever come to being with an actual woman is watching porn at your mom’s house.

  3. ~J* says:

dixie if its boring to have one company dominate then here’s a suggestion…BEAT THEM, BEAT THEM HAARD>>>>>!!!!!!!

  4. cool arrow says:

Of course she’s “open to” it. TNA would benefit from a joint card far more than WWE would.

  5. Derp McGee says:

Eyeroll. Dixie just bringing up the WWE for a little more press than usual. Yawn. Just proves once again that she’s the most brainless woman in wrestling.

  6. Dragon says:

give it a couple more years and it will happen. just not how everyone expected. Vince gets bored of the games and buys TNA. Invasion 2

  7. darko22582 says:

Both companies would benefit. Every wrestling fan on this planet would watch and since it wouldn’t be vince owning all the companies ala the invasion angle then a compromise would have to be worked out so it wouldn’t just be WWE guys smashing on Tna guys. Maybe both companies could do a Ppv , it would be awesome. Ain’t gonna happen but it would be badass.

  8. Scott says:

What cool arrow said. The only truly big names in TNA are Hogan and Angle. Unless you were around for the Monday Night Wars, you won’t really know Sting. As for the current roster, the casual WWE fan won’t know about AJ Styles, James Storm, Bobby Roode, Austin Aries, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Magnus, etc. WWE fans would be surprised to see the Dudley Boys, Mr Kennedy, D’Lo Brown, Luke Gallows and Mike Knox getting a big push as Aces & Eights but unless WWE were use the event as a way to poach talent, TNA get more from it than WWE would. And of the Aces & Eights, WWE let all of them go. And as for the Knockouts, apart from Velvet Sky, they were all in WWE and let go: Gail, Mickie, Tara (Victoria), Brooke (Tessmacher), Taryn (Tiffany), etc.

  9. Nick Walters says:

Everyone should just read Scott’s post. 100% accurate

  10. Scott II says:

Imagine of WCW had this mindset in 1994. They’d never get off the mat.

TNA needs someone running that ship who will make it better, not some second rate company.

  11. Mimura says:

One thing TNA desperately needs is some freaking consistancy, still reminds me of the later years of WCW. Writers haphazardly going from one idea, to another, with talent coming and going on the drop of a dime in hopes of something bringing in new viewers. TNA could never see the big picture, they always looked for the quick boost, or the quick solution to their dwindling ratings.

  12. Shockmaster Suplex says:

Come on Vince, put Dixie and the boys out to pasture, this is becoming the WCW nightmare circa 2013.

  13. Adurka Durk says:

    @JTJ

Leave the “your mom’s house” comments to me, kid.

  14. LoMoHotDogs says:

Vince won’t be around forever and Dixie and Stephanie are friends.

  15. Deathedge says:

    @Dragon

No… That is how we all expect it to happen. The only way we’d be shocked about it is if the Carters bought WWE or if Vince calls up Dixie and sets up this idea.

  16. Aces & Seven says:

That will never happen but we did get a little sneak preview of a promotion crossover when the WWE let Christian return TNA(for one night) to be on a TNA ppv…

  17. James says:

I think that would be great. Think of all the matches that can come out of it…

    John Cena vs. AJ Styles
    CM Punk vs. Bobby Roode
    Daniel Bryan vs. Kurt Angle
    Sting vs. Undertaker
    Kane vs. Abyss
    Natalya vs. Velvet Sky

    The possibilities are endless.

  18. Craptacular says:

I like those matches @James, so I can add:

The Shield vs. America’s Most Wanted (if Harris return at Slammniversary)
    Randy Orton vs. Samoa Joe
    Dolph Ziggler vs. Christopher Daniels
    Rey Misterio vs. Chris Sabin
Jack Swagger vs. Kurt Angle (I mean a battle of Americans)

Eventhough I don’t care because this WILL NEVER… EVER… BE POSSIBLE!!!!
