  1. Clayton says:

Not a mistake, he’s in his late 30s and wanted those last big pay days before calling it quits. Sadly he will always be stuck in edges shadow and the injury bug has had him sidelined the last few years

  2. Geoff says:

No he didn’t make a mistake leaving TNA. He made a mistake by leaving WWE. Had he stayed on, he would have eventually got his chance like Henry and Kane did and would have become World Champ much sooner than he did.

  3. MC Live says:

No it wasn’t a mistake. Sure he may not be used great in WWE, but a half assed main event run in the WWE is a thousand times better than a run of any kind in TNA at this point. He would have fallen down the TNA ladder long ago had he stayed

  4. Jamie says:

I think Clayton called it best. Regardless of what he may or may not have achieved in either company, WWE will give him the bigger paycheck

  5. Wow says:

In their current traveling stint, I think Christian would have been an asset to them. More so than he is to WWE. So no, I don’t think he would have fallen off like people think he would, and yes he should have stayed where he was a big fish in a little pond.

  6. Shane says:

Leaving TNA is never a bad option considering the history of the company. His run there was amazing and produced some of the best stuff TNA has ever presented but it doesn’t change the fact that TNA is a mismanaged train wreck. He would have been better served sticking with the E and maybe crafting an actual Main Event persona.

  7. Adam says:

yeah he needed to leave TNA for his own financial reasons. i actually liked the stuff with him and orton a couple years ago, but injuries really hurt him a lot.

  8. greg says:

No mistake and he will be back soon. With wwe new policy he can wrestle til he’s 50 if he wants to. He is just taking time off to heal and physical therapy like mark Henry did last year. Hope he gets a nice push to world title picture.

  9. Science & Violence says:

If Christian had never went to TNA, he would have always been a perpetual mid-card comedy act…don’t fool yourselves.

  10. Shockmaster Suplex says:

Christian being associated with TNA allowed him to master his mic skills which I think were the best of his career, plus the experience to main event and become the NWA world champion is a huge feat that sure helps him in experience points. Now in his second stint with the WWE, I believe he has been underutilized, the injury setbeck doesn’t help, great talent!

  11. art123guy says:

Science & Violence is 110% correct. Plus, the only reason Christian got the WWE title was because Edge had to retire and it made for a good storyline.

Christian is being underutilized because Vince is still a bully and loves the power to punish wrestlers that leave WWE.

And yes, he is a great talent.

  12. -J- says:

He’s making more money we’d guess so no in that respect he did the right thing financially…TNA provided him with an excellent opportunity to showcase who he could be as a main event player, I’d take the money too.

  13. DBRude says:

It’d be nice to have him back, now that the juggernauts of Smackdown (Orton, Sheamus, Big Show, Henry) are out of the WHT picure.

  14. G says:

I think he deserves to be given opportunities at main event level, unfortunately injury has hampered this. I feel he could be main event material in WWE however he is more likely to be in the midcard, whereas in TNA he is more likely to be in the championship picture. But as stated earlier, WWE will be paying him more.

  15. Dude Love says:

I think he achieved everything he could have in TNA. Got his big push, a title run and then dropped off after awhile. Basically like nearly every other acquisition from the E. I think he merely tested the waters of working somewhere else. I think returning to the WWE was ultimately the best choice
