Spoilers: Impact taping results for next week

TNA Xplosion

1. Magnus defeated Robbie E. This match was taped prior to the live Impact broadcast.

2. James Storm beat Joey Ryan. This match was taped after the live Impact concluded.

TNA Impact Wrestling TV Taping

1. Chris Sabin defeated Sonjay Dutt and Zema Ion in a three-way. Sabin pinned Ion to win a good, short match. Sabin looked good in his return from his second ACL surgery.

2. Rob Terry beat Joey Ryan, Jessie Godderz, and Robbie E in a handicap match. Terry pinned Ryan to win the match.

3. Kurt Angle beat D-Lo Brown in an I Quit match. Angle won with the ankle lock.

4. Taryn Terrell and Mickie James defeated Gail Kim and Tara. Taryn pinned Tara to win the match for her team.

Austin Aries and Bobby Roode were talking in the ring. Christopher Daniels and Kazarian came out to Chavo Guerrero’s music. Big screwup. They set up a No. 1 contenders match. Hernandez and Chavo showed up and announced that James Storm would be the special referee of the match, which will take place on May 9.

5. Sting defeated Matt Morgan to become No. 1 contender to the TNA Title. Morgan passed out while Sting had him in the Scorpion Leg Lock. Sting will challenge Bully Ray for the TNA Title at the Slammiversary pay-per-view. This concluded the show.

  1. MC Live says:

Yes Sting is main eventing slammiversary AGAIN!!!! Everybody wants that! If you hadn’t caught on to my sarcasm yet, what I’m actually saying is BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! At least John Cena is working nightly to be in the main event all the time. Sting is just old. And he’s been TNA’s main event basically just as long as John Cena has been WWE’s

  2. Mr Bacon says:

Damnit, stop with making Sting the hero already, either make it AJ Styles, Matt Morgan or Abyss (Joseph Park gets irrepribly injured and Abyss comes back for revenge)

  3. Sting says:

I am ratings. I am the main event. It’s showtime!

  4. Ostego says:

And you want to know why the ratings are tanking, TNA? Seems like you got the same creative team from WCW, wait YOU DO!

Won’t be long before Vinny Mac buys you guys out too.

  5. Killpg says:

They are wcw v2. They cant push there own stars so they use the ones wwe throws out/cant handle or turn down

  6. Adam says:

Sting as #1 Contender? Really? Don’t get me wrong, he’s deserving of his legendary status and is still capable of putting on semi-decent matches for a man of his age, but he should be used for putting the younger guys over, not going over them. I can understand why Morgan isn’t the #1 Contender being that would be a heel vs heel main event, although there is still time to turn him face (not that I think they should to be honest). The best they could do now would be to have Morgan come and say that Sting didn’t beat him because he wasn’t pinned and he didn’t tap out and then turn it into a Triple Threat Match because then at least Morgan will get the rub from working against Sting and Bully Ray in a PPV Main Event!

  7. Shockmaster Suplex says:

@ostego—Failing to make an Impact! The Rise and Fall of TNA, a posthumous DVD produced by WWE Studios.

  8. Aces & Seven says:

STING!!!! R u kidding me how many times will this dinosaur keep getting title shots….smh…

  9. -J- says:

    lol morgan passed out…facepalm.

  10. Jeremy W. says:

Yes, he passed out, just like Stone Cold Steve Austin passed out when being in Bret Hart’s Sharpshooter, making him a bigger star than ever before. I’m going to have to see how it is used, but Matt Morgan being caught in the Scorpion Death Lock and not tapping out, but passing out from pain could be a good thing for his character.

As for Sting being the #1 contender, I think that is also a good storyline type thing, he is the one that got Hogan in this “mess” with Bully Ray winning the title, so winning the title back for Hogan and TNA would be putting him back into Hogan’s good graces.

  11. James says:

I don’t think Sting will win the title. I think he’ll put Bully Ray over as a credible heel champion. He’s done it with Bobby Roode last year.

  12. The Sheild says:

Morgan vs,Ray would of been more enjoyable, Sting won’t win though, they’re gonna keep that belt on Ray for a while.

  13. MoneyInTheBank187 says:

Matt Morgan would destroy Buh Buh Buh Bubba.

  14. T says:

So to recap – Sting vs Taker at WM = awesome Sting vs Bully Ray = Sting is too old and this is the worst booking ever.

  15. Matt says:

T…that is exactly what i am saying. People are saying STING is too old but if he was in the WWE they would be all for it. You want to talk about old ..how about the Undertaker.. yet people are thrilled to see him time and time again…
I agree with the person above..Sting was responsible for the mess with Bully Ray so now Sting gets a chance to redeem himself and I think he gets the job done!

  16. MoneyInTheBank187 says:

Limited Aces and 8′s on tv ….Finally !!!

  17. Deathedge says:

Honestly, due to the fact that Sting is on TV much more frequently then Taker, it makes Sting’s act very tiresome. What TNA needs is some new blood in the face department. Hopefully, they do something with Matt Morgan now. Maybe (BIG maybe btw) have Morgan beat Sting in a “passing of the torch” high profile rematch, and then have him Morgan win the belt.
