Join the Starman as he covers tonight’s Impact Wrestling broadcast that was taped last week from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Impact Wrestling opens with a message saying the people of Boston are in their thoughts and prayers. A “Previously on Impact Wrestling” recap is then aired that focuses on what side AJ Styles stands. We then head into the American Bank Center as the announcers hype tonight’s show and recap what happened last week during the Full Metal Mayhem match between Bully Ray and Jeff Hardy. Footage of Hardy being carried out on a stretcher and into an ambulance is aired as Hulk Hogan has a look of concern on his face.

Devon is backstage with Garett Bischoff and Wes Brisco and asks if they are ready for tonight. Bischoff says they will take care of business and Devon tells the two not to take Kurt Angle lightly and get the job done. Bischoff and Brisco act cocky about it but Devon tells them to just get the job done. A video package highlighting this feud is aired, which leads us into the first match of the night.

Match 1: Garett Bischoff & Wes Brisco vs. Kurt Angle (Handicap Match)
The match starts as Angle goes up against Brisco and beats him down in a corner with a series of strikes and stomps. Angle then tosses Brisco into his corner and Bischoff tags himself in. Angle does much of the same against Bischoff until we head into a commercial break. We return to the match to see Bischoff has taken control as Bischoff and Brisco double team Angle and pick up a near fall. Angle mounts a comeback and takes both Brisco and Bischoff down with a series of clotheslines and overhead suplexes. Angle then takes them both down with a double German suplex and picks up a near fall after hitting an Angle slam on Bischoff, but Brisco breaks it up. D’Lo Brown and Mr. Anderson come to the ringside area as Angle has Brisco locked in an ankle lock. With the referee distracted, Brown tosses a chain to Bischoff and he nails Angle with it. Bischoff then covers Angle to pick up the pin fall.

After then match, Brisco and Bischoff slam Angle down with a powerbomb. Anderson then grabs a microphone and says this is how things are going to go down from now on. Anderson says Sting has left, Jeff Hardy has been decimated and Angle is lying in shambles. Anderson then says Aces & Eights are rooting for AJ Styles before the four continue celebrating in the ring.

Footage of Petey Williams talking about his strategy in the three way X Division match tonight is aired. Zema Ion is also shown and he says he likes the idea that he doesn’t have to beat Kenny King to win the X Division Championship. The announce team hype the upcoming match between King, Ion and Williams, and that match is up after the break.

Match 2: Zema Ion vs. Petey Williams vs. Kenny King (X Division Championship)
The match starts as King goes right on the attack and dumps Ion out to the floor. We are then treated to the X Cam, which is worn in the head of the referee, which doesn’t look so great. Back to the action, Williams takes King down with a Canadian Destroyer and goes for the pin but Ion breaks it up. Williams then takes Ion down with a hurricanrana and picks up a one count. Ion then hangs Williams up on the ropes and takes Williams down with a neckbreaker for another near fall. Knux and DOC try to jump Magnus as he makes his entrance for his match but Magnus is able to hold his own. Devon finally runs out and joins in as the numbers game catches up with Magnus. Devon then nails with a chain wrapped fist to the gut of Magnus as Knux and DOC double chokeslam Magnus on the ramp. Samoa Joe then runs out and gets the three to back off as referees come out to check on Magnus and we head into a commercial break.

A recap of what just happened with Magnus is aired. Samoa Joe is then seen backstage and calls Aces & Eights a bunch of cowards for what they just did. Joe says he was granted a match against Devon and says he will see him in the ring.

Match 3: Miss Tessmacher vs. Mickie James (#1 Contender for the TNA Knockouts Championship)
The two make their ring entrances and we head into a commercial break before the match starts. The bell sounds and ODB is the referee for this match as things get started. The two lock up a few times and Mickie seems to be a little more concerned with ODB than she is with Tessmacher. Tessmacher heads out to the floor to regroup and drags Mickie out as the two begin to trade blows until ODB goes out and breaks it up before telling them to get back into the ring. Back in the ring, Tessmacher hits Mickie with a series of strikes and hits her with a faceplant to pick up a near fall. Mickie says she feels bad for Velvet Sky being injured, but they don’t have off days in wrestling. Mickie then talks about being pushed to the wayside and it’s about time for her to shine. We then see James Storm in the locker room and talks about trying to get through to AJ Styles over the past month but now it’s time to knock some sense into with a Last Call superkick. Next, footage of Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez winning the TNA Tag Team Championship last week is aired.

Bad Influence makes their way to the ring and grab a microphone. Christopher Daniels says they are close to getting AJ Styles to agree to join the band one more time. Kazarian says they even have a Bad Influence shirt for him before turning their attention to the new Tag Team Champions. Kazarian says once they decide to give them a title shot, they will become the new champions. Austin Aries’ music hits as he and Bobby Roode come out with a microphone. Roode says he is the bearer of bad news as Bad Influence is not the #1 contenders to the Tag Team Championship. Roode says Chavo and Hernandez had a fluke victory last week and they will be getting a title shot first. The two sides go back and forth and trade insults until Bad Influence backs off. However, Chavo and Hernandez snuck in from the other side and send Roode and Aries out to the floor. Chavo says they are better than both teams as they hold the belts.

The main event is hyped some more, but first Samoa Joe will take on Devon for the TNA Television Championship and that match is up after the commercial break.

TNA wrestlers are talking about Aces & Eights taking out members of the TNA roster. Devon wears down Joe with a headlock but Joe comes back and takes Devon down with a kick to the head. Wes Brisco and Garett Bischoff run to the ringside area and distract the referee as Mr. Anderson comes in and nails Joe with some brass knuckles as he was going for a muscle buster. Devon then covers Joe to pick up the pin fall and retain the TNA Television Championship. After the match, Bischoff and Brisco hold Joe as Anderson nails him once again in the face with the knuckles.

AJ Styles and James Storm are seen walking backstage and their match is coming up after the commercial break.

After the match, Bad Influence joins Styles in the ring to celebrate. Styles smiles before taking both Daniels and Kazarian out. Styles then stares down Storm as Aces & Eights charge into the ring and attacks Storm from behind as Styles leaves the ring and slowly walks up the ramp. The group also sets their sites on Bad Influence and take out all three.

Bully Ray grabs a microphone and say they are the men responsible for destroying all of the heroes of TNA. Ray says he took out Jeff Hardy and his brothers took out the three pieces of trash in the ring. Ray says there are no more heroes left and it can all be blamed on Hulk Hogan.
