I have no idea what any of this means.

  3. ZBob says:

I think he means when they like dont have enough seats filled up in a stadium and they tarp it up and cover it with black tarp. I’ve seen pictures of it at a smackdown on here

I mean arena not stadium my bad

  5. Mattyman says:

Papered. Most of the fans paid. Within an hour, if it isn’t sold out, then they give tickets away to fill the building.

  6. -J- says:

    faked the numbers.

WWE should buy TNA and launch it like a separate brand … like they did with WCW in 2001 and never worked out … like they did with ECW for just a few years.

Wanna see Matt Morgan vs John Cena or Orton or Sheamus?

  8. StunningSteve says:

Papered is when they give tickets away to fill empty seats. WCW used to do it all the time here in Johnson City to fill seats for World Wide tapings. Who wanted to sit through 3 or 4 hours of tapings with matches like Van Hammer vs. Reese or Glacier vs. Ice Train? Not this guy. (Well, maybe once or twice)

  9. Jau says:

WWE isn’t in the wrestling business anymore. Why would they buy a WRESTLING company?

  10. Richard P says:

Handing out paper as in tickets to fill a spotty building or hall. Just like you would hang wallpaper to make a bad wall look good.

  11. Starman says:

I can tell you for a fact they are papering. The FIRST live road show in Chicago was heavily papered. We got vouchers from the radio station, and when we got to the venue, there was a huge line to redeem those for tickets. It was a large line than those to get into the building.

  12. king o pain says:

its not papering if entercom and cumulus and other media companies pre-buy the tickets which is what has been happening. its only truly papering if the tix are given away outright. yes there is some discounting for the bulk buys but they are still making money on the seats instead of nothing being made at all. so no it is not papering, it’s just mass purchasing by media corporations because it benefits them when the seats fill up also for advertising purposes. so do entercom, cumulus, and such then paper… yes, but tna does not do it themselves. so matt morgan is technically right.

  13. Shane says:

I’d assume, at least before reading the above comment about the show in Chicago, that it would not have been papered considering how many sections were visibly blacked out. If they’re giving away free tickets and still can’t come close to filling relatively small arenas, TNA could be in some trouble.
