TNA having issues registering the name TNA & Impact in Europe

TNA is having difficulties in trying to register the names TNA and Impact in Europe, reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. A company called Aritzia owns a trademark for TNA for a clothing line. If Aritzia is successful, TNA would not be allowed TNA for clothing or television in Europe. Impact has been opposed by Datalogic Automation.

You’d think they would had registered years ago.

this shows yet again how the people running the show in tna especially Dixie have no idea what they are doing.

  3. dan says:

Yeah because it’s not like Vince and wwe ever had an issue with trademark their name world wildlife fund anyone

@-J-, actually it shows how Trademarks work and how they’re not a global thing like Copyrights are.

Aritizia has had registered their trademarks for TNA (around the world in the various countries it’s sold) way back in 2006 already.

  5. Parallax says:

@dan, or ECW for that matter.

  6. -J- says:

Surely we can’t hold TNA management accountable for not having a global strategy well in advance of trying branch out into international markets?
