WWE surpasses 100 million Facebook fans

WWE has surpassed the 100 million Facebook fans across its network
according a press release issued this week, making WWE one of the most
followed brands in the world. WWE’s Facebook network – which includes all
the Facebook pages of current WWE Superstars and Divas – has more fans
than the NFL, MLB, NHL, ESPN, Pepsi, CNN, and other brands. 17 WWE
Superstars rank in the top 100 most-followed athletes on the social
network website with John Cena as the third most followed athlete in the
United States with 14 million fans.

I guarantee like 80% of those fans are not unique individuals. Probably fans who have subscribed or added multiple pages related to WWE.

Gotta love when corporations pad their numbers. Even though that’s pretty useless because it’s Facebook in this case.

in terms of branding that’s impressive having that huge of a network, padded or not.
