Booker T on Triple H

Booker T was recently interviewed on The Troy Show where he talked about Triple H and numerous other topics.

Hunter and I, for the longest time, we’ve never been friends or anything like that but I’ve always respected him for his body of work.

Being a guy that was in WCW watching what was going on the other side as one of the guys, I could actually see what was happening. He worked harder than anyone in the company, the guy was a cornerstone of the Attitude Era. All the guys that Triple H faced — The Undertaker, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin — all of them had to go through Triple H to get made from a certain perspective. He was the guy of the Attitude Era, the glue that was keeping everything together.

  1. Prince Dann says:

    Agreed. Completely.

People sh.t on Hunter, but he was one of the standouts of the past two decades.

  2. John says:

Undertaker, Stone Cold and The Rock were made by Triple H??? That’s like saying Randy Orton made John Cena, Big Show, and CM Punk.

  3. Chris James says:

    Fact.

  4. -J- says:

    he played the game, sucka.

  5. M.J. Wright says:

@ john. Yup Sounds like ass kissing to me

  6. Matthew says:

    I don’t fully agree, but he’s been in the business. I haven’t
I feel Jim Cornettes view of HHH was more accurate.

  7. Joe says:

He isn’t going to bad mouth his own boss. Pucker up, sucka.

  8. Guy says:

What Booker was saying is that since HHH was the #1 bad guy, he carried the other 3 so they stayed face and he was A, B, and C the top heel!! He more carried the bad guy and let the other 3 stay face for most of the time. Rock did turn and did Austin, but not for that long!!

  9. jim says:

He is the top heel of that era so I kind of agree. They don’t make mega heels like him anymore

  10. Jempires One says:

He never made or elevated anyone. When he feuded with guys like Scott Steiner that were starting to get over, he put the kybosh on it and held guys down.

“Doing what is right for the business” is creating new stars, yet when given the chance he constantly didn’t.

I do think he has a good knack for where he is now, but he NEVER went to bat for guys outside of his clique. Never.

  11. kent says:

The undertaker, the rock STSA and Triple H made each other, triple h never made the taker or the rock or STSA

  12. Walrus says:

    Scott Steiner was over?
