Wrestling By The Numbers: Mitchell ‘Grizzly Redwood’ Franklin

Ring Of Honor Wrestling has released long-time wrestler and product of the Ring Of Honor Wrestling Academy Mitchell ‘Grizzly Redwood’ Franklin. The 27-year-old Philadelphia Pennsylvania native had spent the previous 8-years in ROH after having been trained by Austin Aries and C.M. Punk. ROH released Franklin after he was involved in a backstage altercation with Charlie Haas at the 2013 ROH War home video taping in Asheville North Carolina late last month.

After debuting under his real name Mitch Franklin, in 2008 he became known as ‘The Loutish Lumberjack’ Grizzly Redwood. In recent years Franklin has also been involved as a trainer at the Ring Of Honor Wrestling Academy in addition being an in-ring competitor. Franklin has also worked for numerous independent organizations over the years and has spent the past 4-years as a semi-regular with the Philadelphia-based promotion CHIKARA.
