1982 – Andre The Giant wins the NJPW MSG League, defeating Killer Khan in the final. Antonio Inoki was supposed to face Andre in the final, but was injured and could not compete

2007 – Steve Austin becomes the first reader-voted inductee to the GERWECK.NET Hall of Fame, securing 91% of the vote

2008 – The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & The Dynamite Kid) are inducted into the GERWECK.NET Hall of Fame, securing 85% of the reader votes

2012 – Edge is inducted into the GERWECK.NET Hall of Fame, securing 83% of the votes


In 1990, WWF Wrestlemania VI was held in Toronto, Canada. It was the first Mania to be held outside of the US. In attendance were a young Christian, Edge and Lance Storm

– Brutus Beefcake defeats Mr Perfect

– John Cena defeats Shawn Michaels to retain the WWE Title

In 2011, ROH Honor Takes Centre Stage was held across 2 days in Atlanta, Georgia. This was the first day

– Homicide defeats Colt Cabana, Caleb Konley & Tommaso Ciampa in a Four Corner Survival Match
– Davey Richards defeats Roderick Strong
– Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin) defeat The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) to win the ROH Tag Team Titles
– Eddie Edwards defeats Christopher Daniels to retain the ROH World Title

In 2012, WWE WrestleMania XXVIII was held in Miami, Florida. WWE has claimed that this is the highest-grossing entertainment event in history, earning $8.9million

– On the pre-show, Primo & Epico defeat Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd and The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles
– Sheamus defeats Daniel Bryan (in 18 seconds) to win the World Heavyweight Title
– The Big Show defeats Cody Rhodes to win the WWE Intercontinental Title. Show has now held every currently active title in the WWE
– The Undertaker defeats Triple H with Shawn Michaels as special guest referee to go 20-0 at WrestleMania
– Team Johnny (David Otunga, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger & Mark Henry) defeat Team Teddy (Santino Marella, Zack Ryder, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, Booker T & The Great Khali) to give John Laurinaitis control of both Raw and Smackdown
– CM Punk defeats Chris Jericho to retain the WWE Title
– The Rock defeats John Cena
