Hmm, instead of panning it before it happens, I’m gonna just say we’ll see.
It could mark the beginning of something majority of fans have been waiting to see for years, a Cena heel turn. But if that doesn’t happen, then I’ll say probably, it is a mistake.
I think the way they’ve done it is lazy booking. Also contradictory (like WWE cares about that) I’m not exactly sure what would have been better if they wanted these two one on one, but I think they should have done Punk vs. Taker, 20-0 vs. 504 days as champion, and then done Rock/Cena vs. the Shield in a handicapped match. I think there’s a lot more upside in my scenario.
2 weeks ago I would have said yes. But the chance of a cena Turn seems evident so if that goes through I say no. This match or matches gave him the platform to go heel in a huge way
They don’t have anyone else.
If something juicy comes out of this (like a John Cena heel turn), not at all.
Twice in a lifetime bra, you mad?
I’ll say it now. Anybody who believes John Cena has even a .0000001% chance of turning heel is dilusional. It’s not happening. That is all.
@MC Live I agree. This is PG WWE now. People must forget that Cena is the face of the company for the kids. He will never turn.
The WWE Universe expect Cena to turn heel and who better than against the biggest action star on the face of the planet. If Cena doesn’t turn heel and actually wins, it will be a wasted opportunity for WWE and Cena’s character will get more stale.
I would have preferred Taker v Punk, 20-0 streak v 504 days because of the possibility that Taker might lose and we all know Taker’s going 21-0.
I think there’s a higher chance than
MC Live, I’d bet you that you would have said the same thing about Hulk Hogan at Bash at the Beach 1996.
It’s a mistake, Punk should of won at RR & EC, Lesner could of interfered costing Rock. Rock vs Lesner would of been a huge draw since they draw fans from outside wrestling & would of been a true attraction. Streak vs Title run could of happened, then u have HHH, Cena & Orton vs Shield. The only one left out is Sheamus who could easily be thrown in with Miz & Barrett to make it a 3 way, or have him face Y2J instead Fangelo or whatever it is.
Very simple. Cena doesn’t turn iits a mistake. I expect turn heel chants at mania
Money wise it is no mistake, business wise it is a mistake if Cena wins without a big event happening like a heel turn.
Otherwise Cena winning would just damage the WWE for a lot of people. Building up to Rock Vs Brock at Extreme Rules for the title would be better for the WWE.
unless johnathan mcCena turns heel its worthless, thank the heavens there was no rap or sing along this time around.
Personal feelings aside, can someone explain how the WWE would profit from turning Cena heel? It’s about money, not about the IWC. Cena’s not turning. We don’t count, we don’t provide the big bucks, get over it, stop acting all butthurt and either enjoy the product or don’t.
wcw took a chance turning the biggest babyface EVER heel and it paid off huge for them, wwe could make the cena heel thing work as people are ready for it and the kiddies that aren’t will get over it.
I think the match will be better than last year, the pressure will be off slightly they have experience against each other and like many others have said it has been built for a heel turn ala Austin / Rock 2001 with Cena saying the other week he has to win.
Doubt it will happen though, funny if it did though a lot of IWC will do there usual it was so obvious! As they predict almost every possible outcome and the claim its obvious when something happens.
It is a good move. It may be boring and bland to older fans but the kids and his adult fans love it and will pay to see it where as most of the people complaining will probably mooch off a friend or steal it over the internet instead of paying to watch it.
Cena turning heel is a bad move. The thirty year old men sitting in their parents basement complaining about Cena not turning heel wouldn’t bring in anything close to as much money as face Cena brings in. Add to that all the good publicity face Cena brings in makes turning him heel an even worse move.
Cena as a heel is bad for business. Yes Rock vs Cena II is a bad idea. So is HHH vs Lesnar II.
