– WWE Saturday Morning Slam Results 3/30/31

Commentary: Daniel “Dazzler” Bryan and Josh Matthews

We open things this week as General Manager, Mick Foley, makes a tag team match between the residents of Planet Funk and the Players in order to answer the age old question. Who the greatest dancing tag team in the WWE?

-Brodus Clay & Tensai w/ The Funkadactyls vs. The Primetime Players

Titus O’Neil starts things off for his team with a whistle in his mouth. He keeps blowing the whistle to calm the crowd and attempts to body slam Clay with the whistle still in his mouth. He couldn’t slam the big man and immediately tags out, much to the dismay of Darren Young. Clay slams Young, tags in Tensai, and they deliver a combination sidewalk slam and elbow drop. Tensai throws Young in the corner, charges in, nails him with a somersault splash, tags in Clay, and they drill Young with a double team shoulder tackle. Young finds himself on the apron, O’Neil checks on him and Clay knocks him to the floor. Clay goes for a suplex but O’Neil grabs his leg and holds on to it while Young lands in a pinning position and gets the 1-2-3.

Winners: The Primetime Players

As Young and O’Neil celebrate, Mick Foley comes out and says the referee decision is final but he has no problem with scheduling a rematch……RIGHT NOW!

-Brodus Clay & Tensai w/ The Funkadactyls vs. The Primetime Players

Tensai lands two elbows drops on Young, does a little dance, and misses a big splash. O’Neil tags in and lands a few clubbing forearms and drops him with an elbow after a failed attempt at a slam. Young gets back in and hits a diving headbutt but hurts himself just as much and tags O’Neil back in. O’Neil finally lands the big body slam on Tensai. Young tags back, measures him for a field goal kick and misses big. Clay makes the hot tag and delivers two clotheslines, T-Bone Suplex, and a splash in the corner but O’Neil breaks up the pin. Tensai throws O’Neil out of the ring and they hit the dual big splash for the victory and let the dancing begin.

Winners: Brodus Clay & Tensai

-Antonio Cesaro vs. R-Truth

Our main event features the current US Champion vs. the former US Champion as Daniel Bryan, on commentary, says that neither man dazzles, and that everything about him screams dazzling. Cesaro hits a shoulder tackle and Truth comes back with an armdrag and hits a scissors kick coming out of the corner. Truth hits a knee drop and clotheslines him out of the ring.

Truth hits another armdrag but Cesaro turns things around with a Stun Gun across the top rope. Cesaro applies an abdominal stretch, sends Truth into the ropes and headbutts him in the ribs for a two count. Cesaro applies a bear hug and Daniel Bryan marks out for it huge on commentary and even says he can no longer “bear the suspense.” Truth breaks free, hits s sunset flip for a two count and Ceasro immediately gets up, grabs Truths legs and does an airplane spin. It backfires as Ceasro is the one who is dizzy. Truth lands two clotheslines, and another scissors kick for a two count. Ceasro reverses Truth, sends him into the corner and delivers a thunderous uppercut but Truth kicks out at two. Ceasro goes for a suplex but Truth flips over and lands a downward spiral for the pin.

Winner: R-Truth

Tony Chimel reminds everyone that Antonio Cesaro is still the United States Champion and Truth, on the ramp, makes the belt wearing gesture while the shows ends with Cesaro kissing the belt in the ring.
