Recent wrestling related deaths

Robert Owen, who wrestled doing television enhancement work in the Carolinas and Georgia in the 70s and early 80s, passed away on 2/16 at the age of 61.

Brent Woodworth, who was a referee in Indiana as Woody Woodworth, passed away on 2/23 at the age of 51.

Charles Lutkie, who was the Wisconsin middleweight champion in the 30s and Kansas junior heavyweight champion in the 40s, passed away on 3/4 at the age of 94. Lutkie was best known as an auto racer from the 40s through the 70s and later promoted boxing events. He is a member of the Wichita, KS, Sports Hall of Fame.

Grange Bernard, a manger and announcer for a number of New England independent groups using the name Dr. Gabriel Grange, passed away on 3/18 at the age of 54.

Dennis Forsland, 79, who wrestled from 1957 to 1971 under the name Eric the Great, passed away on 3/17. He was living in Salt Lake City.
