2002 – The first WWE Draft Lottery takes place on Raw, with Vince McMahon picking for Smackdown and Ric Flair for Raw. The first two superstars to be drafted were The Rock (SD) and The Undertaker (Raw)

Title Changes

1983 – Terry Gordy defeats The Great Kabuki to win the Texas Brass Knuckles Title

1988 – King Parsons defeats Kerry von Erich to win the WCCW World Heavyweight Title

1994 – Jerry Lawler defeats Eddie Gilbert to win the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Title


Happy birthday to one-time AJPW, WWF and NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiro Saito (52), one-time IWGP Tag Team Champion Tatsutoshi Goto (57) and former WWE referee Tim White (59)
