-WWE Saturday Morning Slam 3/9/13
Commentators: Dolph Ziggler and Josh Matthews
Chaos has run amuck as superstars vie for the coveted spot of Saturday Morning Slam’s General Manager.
Teddy Long tells Natalya she is doing a good job and is being considered for the position of General Manager. AJ interrupts and says since she used to be the GM of Raw and Dolph Ziggler is the hottest superstar, they should run things on the Slam and not Natalya. Long says a decision has not been made but the two ladies can settle their differences in the ring.
-AJ Lee vs. Natalya
Natalya outworks AJ early with headlocks, shoulder tackles, armbars and rapid pinfall attempts. AJ gets a sunset pin attempt off a tilt-a-whirl from Natalya and AJ skips around the ring in celebration of the fact that she almost won. Natalya plows through her with a shoulder tackle in mid skip and goes for the Sharp Shooter but AJ gets to her feet and delivers a single arm DDT. AJ ties up Natalya’s arm in the ropes and applies a hammer lock.
AJ jumps on Natalya’s back to apply more pressure but gets backed into the corner and breaks the hold. AJ clings to the top rope while screaming for Natalya not to hurt her. Natalya shakes her off the ropes and AJ crashes to the canvas. Natalya gets a two count off a roll up, holds her injured arm and drop kicks AJ in the back of the head. Natalya misses a charge into the corner and AJ hits a cross body from the top rope but Natalya rolls through and gets the pinfall.
Dolph Ziggler checks on AJ while she cries in the ring.
A video of past authority figures was shown which included Rowdy Roddy Piper, Shawn Michaels, John Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon.
-Saturday Morning Spotlight: Daniel Bryan: Lots of “Yes, Yes, Yes,” and “No, No, No” with a little goat face on the side. Oh, his new nick name in 2013 is The Dazzler.
Daniel Bryan is interviewed backstage and says he should be the SMS General Manager because he is intelligent, even tempered, well groomed, and will always answer the tough questions with a YES or NO and never a maybe.
Wade Barrett interrupts and says he has some tough question for Bryan.
Dose he stand any chance of beating him? NO
Will he get knocked silly by the Bull Hammer? YES
Will he ever be the same again? Maybe…and walks off.
Bryan replies “Is it me or does that guy need a hug?”

-Daniel Bran vs. Wade Barrett
Intercontinental Champion versus Tag Team Champion is our main event this morning as Kane joins Josh Matthews on commentary. Barrett opens up with a big body slam and immediately grabs a headlock. Bryan sends him off the ropes and hits a deep arm drag and delivers a picture perfect standing drop kick. Barrett goes outside but Kane scares him back in the ring and Bryan hits a drop toe hold and a surf board submission and stomps on his knees. Bryan goes for some kicks but Barrett ducks and hits his swinging side walk slam to take control of the match.
Barrett drops Bryan with a clothesline and gets a two count. Bryan fights out of a submission but Barrett retakes control with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Barrett delivers a slingshot belly to back backbreaker. Bryan comes back with a flying clothesline and a running dropkick into the corner. Bryan gets caught with a savate kick and escapes a pump handle slam attempt and gets Barrett in a crucifix pin for the 1-2-3. Bryan celebrates and gives Kane a big hug while yelling “YES.”
Winner: Daniel Bryan
Next week, Booker T will announce who will be the first ever Saturday Morning Slam General Manager.
