Is Linda McMahon planting more political seeds?

from greenwichtime.com:

So much for Linda McMahon entering the witness protection program.

A few months removed from her $100 million splurge on bookend losses for the U.S. Senate, the former first lady of professional wrestling is re-engaging in the world of Republican politics.

McMahon, 64, recently penned an op-ed piece for the Huffington Post website — a most ironic platform — on the role women can play in an economic recovery that quoted Alexis de Tocqueville.

She regularly updates her Facebook page, which has 57,000 followers.

The Greenwich resident and the former chief executive of WWE gave several thousand dollars to the state Republican Party just last week, Hearst Connecticut Newspapers has learned.

It comes as McMahon is scheduled to sit down with state GOP Chairman Jerry Labriola Jr. next week in Stamford.

“I think Linda wants to be helpful,” Labriola told Hearst. “She cares deeply about the state of Connecticut, our nation and the damage done to our economy by the Democrats in Hartford and Washington.”

Does this woman not understand that people don’t give a crap about her, and she could only likely ever be voted onto a PTA board for her grandkid? Give it a rest, or start giving the fans some of the money you blow on worthless crap ventures that never pan out.

Or… small thought… put into saving the slumping WWE.

she will not stop she’s determined to go broke trying.

Seems like she doesn’t want to learn from her mistakes.

    Linda, a tip if I may…

    Stop.

Please kill me now. A tip for Linda, Vince, and the McMahons: You can’t buy a senate seat. Nobody likes you. Please go back to paying attention to the WWE and try to run it like an actual competent business.

  6. JLM3 says:

She’d be better than what they have, but a Libertarian would be better than either… The Republicrats days are numbered.. and her campaign aint taking no more money from WWE than the stupid TOUT and WWE Films and every other idiotic non wrestling venture that washed up company are involved with.

  7. Freeman Cooper says:

JLM3….actually, a Democrat would be MUCH better that a Republican OR a Libertarian. If anything, Linda needs to take a hint from the people & get back to helping Vince run WWE. This is the third time she’s failed to get elected to public office. You’d think that after the 2nd time, she’d get the hint to stay away from political office. But, then again, if this means that WWE ultimately fails, maybe it’ll finally give TNA Wrestling the chance to become the new generation WWF.
