Here’s some more info on the ordeal…

Speed Systems was a sponsor for NJPW’s Tokyo Dome shows in the past. They’re a company that do corporate restructuring of brands and buy companies that are in need of bankruptcy and other similar situations.

Their plan is to catch up to NJPW in one year. They had stated that they was more attracted to AJPW’s intense wrestling, which coincides with Suwama’s recent remarks about the current NJPW product, calling it a ballet dance.

They’re also interested in safety and will be upgrading its setup outside of the ring.

I’m not clear on their stance towards freelancers, but it seems they have no interest in outsiders at all, so if a contract cannot be reached by March, then they will have to find work elsewhere. This coincides with them isolating the company in April to solely focus on AJPW.

The oddest tidbit is they want Shuji Kondo to convert to a heavyweight. They mean business too. Apparently, they also warned KENSO (Kenzo Suzuki) that if he doesn’t change his wrestling style, they would fire him.

They also plan to host a show in the Tokyo Dome in three years. If that happens, it would be the first Tokyo Dome show since January 28, 2001.
