Jack Swagger’s Storyline Possibly Saved

Following the video of Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger directed to Glenn Beck, at this point, there doesn’t seem to be any major fallout from Jack Swagger’s recent arrest.

One WWE source noted that they wouldn’t be surprised if this whole new Glenn Beck situation is what is currently saving Jack Swagger and his WrestleMania storyline following Tuesday night’s arrest. It’s likely that the WWE will focus on the angle this Monday night on RAW… even if Glenn Beck can’t appear.

  1. Alex says:

He better not win the title. Why not just turn Orton, have him attack Swagger (out of camera view) and attack Del Rio as well to set it up? I think it’ll be a bad look on them if they don’t suspend him. That’s just my opinion though.

  2. Tyler says:

If Linda had won, he wouldve been fired. Since she didn’t he is main eventing mania.

  3. Matt says:

People thought he was going to win the title in the first place? He’s just being built up for a good feud with Del Rio at Mania. I don’t see how anyone could have thought differently. Dolph is going to get a rub from Jericho before he takes the belt off Del Rio.

Swagger will go back to midcard post Mania, as was more than likely already the plan anyway.

  4. the Dude says:

Ok, so Swagger’s push (and a potential title win/run) keeps going but they made RVD drop the WWE title, suspend him for 30 days and never returned to that status until his tenure ended with the company? Seems fair.

  5. Sean says:

Linda got like 12% of the vote. #republicanscum

  6. Guled says:

knowing glenn, he’ll bring up the arrest situation.

  7. Ostego says:

Wait, WWE suspends and basically kills Evan Bourne’s career for smoking the fake stuff and they are going to basically slap Swagger’s wrist for smoking the real stuff, not only that, speeding at a high rate of speed while under the influence.

    Favoritism much?

  8. dave says:

Precedent has been set. Swagger will lose at Mania and be suspended effective on the monday morning.

If not, I hope the Tea Party or someone public uses it and gives WWE some uncomfortable press for their own hypocrisy.

  9. James says:

Like Jesse Ventura said many years ago, “It’s politics, at its worst level.”

  10. Ben says:

Ostego, it’s not a case of favoritism. You see, if Bourne had been involved in a foolish storyline where Vince was going after some person or group he was upset with, nothing would have happened to him either.

  11. Ben says:

I echo your sentiments, Dave. Letting the public know Vince is looking the other way and letting a dirtbag drug addict play a major role in Wrestlemania should provide plenty of bad publicity.

  12. -J- says:

the whole situation is ass backwards and crazy…bravo!

  13. killpg says:

its pot, not anything series. give him his fine, let him win the title, DZ cashes in MIB, Langston beats his ass post match, age slaps the hell out of him, by the time their done beating on him he has to take “break to heal” for 30 days. ps i dont smoke pot but i its safer the beer, and ignorance. its like anything, to much will destrtoy your life. but some here and their isnt a big deal.

  14. Chris James says:

Who cares. None of you sign swaggers cheques.

  15. James says:

Republican Scum? I’m pretty sure most republicans that aren’t in a seat of power aren’t scum and actually obey laws and work.

Unlike Liberals who HATE America, want to turn into a nanny state where everyone is leeching of the government. Not to mention the voter base the majority of it doesn’t work, leeches of the government and gets away with voter fraud on a constant basis.

  16. that Guy says:

Really James? All liberals leech off the government? I work and go to college full time. Nice try

  17. -J- says:

bah Linda loss and Vince said screw it…let the good times roll!

  18. Andy says:

    @Alex Because Orton sucks

  19. Scott II says:

If this whole publicity from his gimmick saves Swagger, he should be thankful. Still fearing a RVD 2006 episode where Swagger push just goes poof though.

  20. What? says:

Can we save all the “Republican scum,” “libtard” talk for the political message boards? Some of us come here as a way to escape all that crap for a little while.

  21. T says:

I can see Faux news making Swaggers arrest a big deal.

  22. ManWhale says:

I bet if michael phelps was a wrestler, they would have put the strap on him. then again, when you’re doing your job, people tend to turn the blind eye to company policy, and if you don’t think that’s true, try it

  23. rob_mor says:

Swagger is like the libertarian love child between Ron Paul and Gary Johnson. Swagger 2016

  24. KiLLewskitt says:

    @ James,
I know a Neal Boortz listener when i hear one! LOL!
