WWE’s TLC PPV draws weak domestic buy numbers

Reported by Adam Martin of wrestleview.com

The latest WWE estimates for the WWE TLC PPV on 12/16 has the show doing 71,000 buys domestic and 99,000 buys international for a total of 170,000 buys. This would be the lowest domestic buyrate for a WWE PPV all year in 2012 and ties the 2010 Bragging Rights PPV as the third worst domestic number in modern history. Given how well some of the “B” WWE PPV events were drawing in 2012 it was considered a big surprise as to how low the domestic total was for the final event of the year.

Surprising that it was that low, but when the WWE title match gets replaced by 3 no-name guys, they couldn’t have been expecting too much out of this one.
