Wrestling By The Numbers: Eve Torres

World Wrestling Entertainment has agreed to part ways with former 3-Time WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres. The 28-year-old Boston Massachusetts native asked Vince McMahon for her released a month prior to her last WWE television appearance on the January 14th episode of WWE Raw. Torres stated she wanted to leave to company to further pursue her role as an instructor with the Gracie Women Empowered self-defence program. Eve Torres joined the WWE 6-years ago after winning the 2007 Diva Search Competition. She first spent time training in Florida Championship Wrestling and made her official WWE debut on Smackdown in January of 2008. After stints as a manager and then marquee feuds with the likes of Lay-Cool, Beth Phoenix, Maryse and The Bella Twins, Eve was then used in an on-air administrative role. She was the former Executive Administrator of Raw and Smackdown and was also the Assistant General Manager of Smackdown.

Prior to joining World Wrestling Entertainment Eve Torres had no previous professional wrestling background. While attending the University Of Southern California she worked as an actress/model in television commercials and was also a dancer working for the Southern California Pro League basketball association. During the 2006-2007 season she worked for the Los Angeles Clippers on their Spirit Dance team. She has appeared on numerous television shows including Show Me The Money, The Best Damn Sports Show Period, among others.
