WCW Invasion, worse booked storyline ever. Wrestling never recovered.

  2. Kid Vicious says:

I’m still waiting for the Natural Disasters to unveil the “real special surprise” Typhoon promised Money Inc at Wrestlemania VIII. 21 years? I mean, that’s just sloppy.

  3. Dan says:

The WWE vs. ECWCW could have been really special if booked correctly… Understatement of the year?

  4. havok says:

obviously the invasion…..had so much potential to be possibly the best story wrestling ever saw, but it was booked like crap

  5. Nic says:

When William Regal was RAW GM and reigning king of the ring in 2008 he was in the middle of one of his biggest pushes ever. Possibly his biggest push. He was getting HUUUGE heat every week. He even famously turned off the broadcast of RAW in the production truck during a WWE Championship match before it had finished. There were so many huge opportunities to cash in on here and it was TV i personally hadn’t seen before with a supremely talented man in amazing ‘form’ during his push. But after he got his 2nd wellness policy strike and was suspended for 60days all was lost. Huge missed opportunity that Regal dropped the ball on. Seriously could have resulted in a world title run!

  6. Atlee Greene says:

I’m still waiting for an answer as to how The Giant survived being thrown off the roof of Cobo Hall during the 1995 Halloween Havoc.

  7. MC Live says:

Invasion. Raw laptop gm. It had potential, for about a week. Bret Hart’s return. It was ok. Ric Flair right now. Christian right after Edge retired. And WCW from 1998 on basically

  8. jim says:

    Um aces and 8s

  9. The ayatollah says:

Sting vs Undertaker match a couple years ago

  10. Boobface McGee says:

    Two Words: Muhammad Hassan.

  11. Splitting up the Nexus into two teams, basically making one of them the straight edge society all over again and making the other one Corre. The Nexus was doing fine like it was IMO. You had such an epic debut and a good build but didn’t let it run long enough.

  12. Adam says:

muhammad hassan. nexus was dropped too early. kurt angle going to ecw was just a bad idea altogether.

  13. GrimReaper says:

nWo 2000.. but like Russo said, they needed Bret to survive, but Double J could have carried it

  14. cas says:

i have to say the limo explosion and the whole vince death trials. I know that benoit kind of “killed” that one….too soon? glad they didn’t go thru with it. could have changed the wwe at the wrong time. 2-3 years they can try that again

  15. echo says:

Chris Jericho after reaching his pinnacle in the Cruiserweight division in WCW. He got saddled with Ralphus (which I admit I thought was funny) instead of being pushed as a serious contender in the main event scene.

  16. Skeeter Valentine says:

The buildup of Punk-Cena could’ve been given more time to stew. It wasn’t given the amount of time it should have gotten and Punk came back too soon. Brock’s return. The “United Kingdom” angle from WWE ’12 would have been brilliant on TV.

  17. Andrew says:

Kharma’s debut and reign of terror before she announced she was preggers.

  18. Guled says:

I was the one who suggested this btw ~o for me, it would be a lot but i’ll name three.

The Corporate Ministry- had every intention to be a good storyline until it was ruined by Vince’s ego.

Shawn Michaels’s short heel stint in 2005.

& lastly, The Invasion. oh YOU’RE WELCOME!

  19. Mr. Excitement says:

    name says it all

  20. Neumanrko9 says:

Wade Barrett should’ve won the WWE Championship when he was the leader of The Nexus

  21. Matt says:

The InVasion. Nexus. William Regal in 2008. Christian’s WHC push. Sting VS The Undertaker. Austin VS Hogan. Rock VS HBK. Lesnar VS Goldberg. The WWE Summer of Punk.

I could name more but those are the ones that come off the top of my head.
