Better buy WWE 13, cause its going to be the last good one. 2k games bite big time

If true, that’s a home run for WWE. Take Two and 2K are excellent with detail in their sports games. They’ve made NBA2K games THE NBA game to own. Excellent news for wrestling fans. Excited to see what they do.

Good news if true, 2k has been putting out good games the last few years.

They’ve also made MLB2K, the worst baseball game imaginable. Let’s hope it all ends out well. Take Two is so inconsistent with their quality of games.

    Good news if true.

If it had gone to EA chances are that we would have got WWE Superstars with only front finishers (WWE superstars with the wrong finishers) regardless of what their actual WWE finisher is. (If EA’s WCW Mayhem and WCW Backstage Assualt games are anything to go by.)

There is no fluidity to their sports games. NBA is just a bunch of robots and MLB has been a steamy pile of poo. There are so many bugs and glitches in their games

Remember Take-Two (2K/Rockstar) just got the Publishing rights. That means for the time being it’s likely that Yukes (a completely separate company from THQ) will retain the development rights.

What I see happening is Take-Two putting together their own team now & starting the development of a wrestling engine (with people/parts from Rockstar such as the RAGE engine & 2K Sports such as the player modeling, attributes, Create-a-Player, etc). This new series however will not see the light of day until the PS4/Xbox 3 era of consoles. So like 2014 or 2015. If they publish it under the Rockstar brand then they could do a tie-in to the Rockstar Social Club which I think could be fun.

Yukes will basically pump out a modified version of WWE ’13 as WWE ’14 (and WWE ’15 if needed) just with Take-Two as the publisher instead of THQ.

Rockstar tried to get the TNA license years ago (2005, right after the sucess of GTA:San Andreas & right before they made that stupid Table Tennis game) but TNA didn’t like what they had planned for the game so they ended up going with Midway (and we all seen how that worked out)…..

  9. Fisha695 says:

LA Noire wasn’t made by Rockstar it was made by the now defunt Team Bondi.

    Max Payne series is Done
    Midnight Club series is Done
    Manhunt is Done

Rockstar has 8 studios and 3 active titles (GTA, Red Dead & Agent which is likely vaporware).

It’s known that Rockstar itself is having money problems and GTA alone ain’t gonna save them 😉

Rockstar had stated months ago that Max Payne 3 would be the last Max Payne game they make.
