Wrestling By The Numbers: El Generico

It has been reported wrestler Rami ‘El Generico’ Sebei has verbally agreed to a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and will be joining the organization shortly. The 28-year-old Hill Valley Quebec native had spent the previous 7-years with Ring Of Honor Wrestling after first debuting back in 2005. Sebei was a former 1-Time ROH Tag-Team Champion with former partner Kevin Steen who he also had memorable feud with after their long-time tag-team fell apart. El Generico was a 1-Time ROH Television Champion as well winning the title in June 2011. His final match with the organization was at the 2012 Final Battle pay-per-view event where he challenged Kevin Steen for the ROH Championship in a Ladder Match.

Rami Sebei is an 11-year professional wrestling veteran who first debuted back in 2002 after having been trained by Savio Vega, Jerry ‘The Wall’ Tuite and Patrick ‘Patty the Kid’ Smart. He started his career competing in his home province of Quebec for both International Wrestling Syndicate and Elite Wrestling Revolution. While competing in Ring Of Honor Wrestling he was also a regular performer with promotions including Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Chikara and Dragon Gate. It is expected once Sebei passes his medical and drug testing requirements he will then either report to WWE N.X.T. or the company’s main roster.
