Wrestling By The Numbers: Thea ‘Rosita’ Trinidad
TNA Wrestling has decided to part ways with Thea ‘Rosita’ Trinidad after the knockout’s contract expired and the two sides were unable to come to terms on a new deal. The 22-year-old Queens New York native had spent the past 2-years with TNA but had been in-active with the company for the past few months. Trinidad was first signed in January of 2011 and was introduced as a ‘cousin’ of knockout Sarita and the two formed a duo who eventually became 1-Time TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions. After winning the belts both Sarita and Rosita would be paired with Hernandez and Anarquia with the group being known as Mexican America.
Thea Trinidad made her professional wrestling debut in 2010 after having been trained by T.J. Perkins, Azrieal, Javi-Air, Hijo del Gladiator and Tony Salazar. Prior to joining TNA Wrestling she competed for independent organizations including National Wrestling Superstars, Women Superstars Uncensored, Family Wrestling Entertainment and also worked for Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion in 2011 as apart of TNA’s working relationship with the Mexican company. Thea Trinidad was also featured in NBC’s special ‘Children Of 911’ as her father passed away as a result of the World Trade Center terrorist attacks on September 11th 2001.
