Santana Garrett Signs with a Major Pro Wrestling Company

Just announced yesterday, Team Vision Dojo student Santana Garrett has signed with the returning Women of Wrestling company based out of Los Angeles, CA. Santana is a rising young talent in this business who has been very impressive in her short 3 years career so far.

Santana initially started her training in 2009 in St. Louis where her father, Keny Garrett, relocated his High Voltage Wrestling company. Shortly there after, Santana moved back to her home in Central Florida where she continued her training at the Team Vision Dojo in Orlando under Chasyn Rance with Scott Hall and Larry Zbyszko as advisers. With their help, Santana was quickly utilized in TNA Wrestling as a valet but never used in the Knockouts Division as she was still learning the craft.

Already a Women’s Champion in Florida and a favorite in Harley Race’s WLW company, Santana started to build a big fan base in Florida as well as the rest of the states with help from social media. One of her biggest fans, Scott Hall, had recently been released by TNA Wrestling but was preparing to start managing and teaming with Santana on the independents. Their first tag match was scheduled for June 12, 2010 at I Believe in Wrestling, but Hall’s demons took over that day. Sean “X-Pac” Waltman substituted, and Hall has yet to wrestle a match since. He has however continued to manage her in Central Florida.

With minimal female opponents on the independents in Florida, Santana has had her fair share of bouts with male competitors. Santana continues to feud with the likes of Christina Von Eerie and Leva Bates over 5 out of the 7 different women’s titles in Florida, 4 of which she currently still holds.

In mid-2012, new women’s wrestling company Shine Wrestling held their first match prior to their first event. It was contested between Santana and now WWE trainer, Sara Del Ray, on EVOLVE 14. Del Ray picked up the win. However, SHINE 1 saw Santana defeat Tina San Antonio, and she has continued to shine in the company.

In October, Santana made her SHIMMER debut on Volume 50. She also competed on Volume 51. Santana made a great impression on the fans in her matches with Shazza McKenzie and Melanie Cruise.

Around this time, Santana had been in talks with WOW for their relaunch. After some negotiations (mainly involving her still being able to compete for SHINE and SHIMMER) Santana officially signed with David McLane on December 23.

We at the Team Vision Dojo are ecstatic of our prodigy. Santana continues to train hard in the ring and the gym as well as helping out our other female students. We are proud to call her one of our own, and we look forward to a long and successful career for the bright and beautiful Santana Garrett.
