Wrestling By The Numbers: Charles ‘Tony Mamaluke’ Spencer
Charles Spencer who most notably competed as Tony Mamaluke and was a former 1-Time ECW Tag-Team Champion has announced his retirement from professional wrestling. The 35-year-old Bensonhurst Brooklyn New York native spent 14-years inside the squared circle and made the announcement back on December 1st. Spencer first debuted in professional wrestling in 1998 after having been trained by the legendary Dean Malenko. After wrestling under the names Cassanova Jones and C.G. Afi for Florida independent promotions he was signed by World Championship Wrestling in 1999. He spent a year with the organization where he first was paired with Lenny Lane and Lodi and after the group was taken off television he returned shortly after as a member of The Full Blooded Italians known as Tony Marinara.
In the year 2000 Spencer joined Extreme Championship Wrestling where he stayed until the promotion folded in 2001. Alongside Little Guido and Big Sal E. Graziano, The Full Blooded Italians feuded with tag-teams including Mikey Whipwreck, Yoshihiro Tajiri, Super Crazy, Kid Kash, Danny Doring and Roadkill during ECW’s final years. In 2001 Spencer had short stints with TNA Wrestling, World Wrestling All-Stars and became a former 1-Time ROH Tag-Team Champion alongside Sal Rinauro while competing in Ring Of Honor in 2005. In 2005 he also competed for World Wrestling Entertainment at the company’s first ever ECW One Night Stand pay-per-view. In April of 2006 he was signed by the company and along with Little Guido and Trinity became The Full Blooded Italians on the WWE’s new ECW Brand. After being released by the WWE in January of 2007 he returned to professional wrestling in August of 2010 competing for TNA Wrestling at their 2010 Hardcore Justice nostalgia pay-per-view. He would spend a couple months with the company as apart of the short-lived E.V. 2.0 stable. Charles Spencer’s last match was on December 1st against Papadon at an East Coast Wrestling Association event in Newark Delaware.
