Birthdays

Also, today would have been the birthday of former NWA regulars Al Costello (93) and Roger Kirby (73)

In Memoriam

On this day in 2008, the wrestling world lost former WWF and ECW jobber Mike Bell aged just 37. Bell is perhaps best remembered for his WWF match against Perry Saturn, where Saturn repeatedly stiffed Bell after Bell failed to execute a snapmare. On a side note, it is rumoured that Saturn was given the ‘Moppy’ gimmick as punishment for his actions. Bell was found dead in a rehabilitation centre in California, having suffered from an undisclosed drug addiction leading up to his death. Bell’s struggle with addiction was featured in the documentary ‘Bigger, Stronger, Faster’

Roger Kirby is dead? When did he die?

  2. Jamie says:

My source claims he died in 2011, however, I have since begun to doubt it based on some of its other information. I’m having a look for more sources now
