Cody Rhodes suffers injury

Stephen Parsons sent us word that it appeared Cody Rhodes suffered a head/neck injury during the Main Event taping last night in Cleveland before the Smackdown tapings.

Parsons noted in the following in his live report: “A side note, Cody Rhodes appeared to have suffered a head injury in this match following a backdrop with Kane, while on the apron he had his head down, someone patted him on the back to check on him and he shrugged them off. After the match he was on the ground for a while. And he was also not involved with the Smackdown taping at all.”

That sucks! I hope its not too serious an injury & that he doesn’t miss much ring time.. future world champ no doubt! Speedy recovery Cody! Better than the best!

  2. Joe says:

I hope he’s okay. He is one of the most consistent and talented guys on Smackdown.

  3. Scott says:

Getting dropped on ones head is never good. Hopefully Rhodes is ok, and not hurt too bad.

  4. Joey says:

He seemed out of it before the first commercial break, the back bodydrop was the final nail.

  5. matt says: just updated that he suffered a concussion & a strained shoulder / more test results coming in the next couple days.. concussions are never good but I’m glad his shoulder isnt broken or separated. Hope the rest comes back OK!
