NWA Coastal rolls back prices for 11/17 show in wake of Hurricane Sandy
Nov 5, 2012 - by Steve Gerweck
As many of you know, NWA Coastal operates in the Jersey Shore area, which has been devastated by Hurricane Sandy this past week. Some of our friends, wrestlers, support staff and fans have been affected by this horrible storm. For many, electricity is still a luxury, and many people are working to clean up their homes and businesses and get back to normal.
In an effort to provide the fans and local residents of the area a break from their frustrations, NWA Coastal is lowering their ticket prices for “Battle For Bayville!” to $10.
According to Fred Richards of NWA Coastal: “After a meeting with my partners Tommy Cairo and Phil Varlese, we decided that in the best interests of the community, it would be prudent to help out and offer an affordable diversion for them on November 17th at the Bayville Elks Lodge. Richards went on to mention that kids under 5 would be admitted to the event FREE.
NWA Coastal is proud to be part of the Jersey Shore community, and have reached out this week with clothing & food donations made by Phil Varlese on behalf of our organization.
We support the Jersey shore, and we hope that local fans, as well as fans who witnessed the exciting NWA action in Clayton, NJ at the DAWG show on Friday (11/2) will support our next event, which features 2 HUGE main events, including not only the NWA Coastal Heavyweight Title match between Bad Boy Danny Pagan and The Jersey Shore Legend Biggie Biggs, but a NWA WORLD WOMENS Championship Match, as NWA Ring Warriors Battling Bombshells Champion La Rosa Negra challenges the newly crowned Champion Kacee Carlisle!
All this, and 5 other exciting matches for only $10!!!!
Now to the show………..
NWA Coastal returns to the Bayville (NJ) Elks Lodge on November 17th at 7:30 pm with their final, and most EXCITING card of the year, highlighted by a NWA World Women’s Championship Title Defense.
At “Battle For Bayville” the newly crowned NWA World Womens Champion Kacee Carlisle will be defending her belt against NWA Ring Warriors Battling Bombshell Champion La Rosa Negra! This will be the first time the two have faced each other, and while it may not be the last, this match just might be the most exciting, as the Carribean star will be trying her best to take the title belt from Kacee, who won the title in Tennessee earlier this month from the legendary NWA Womens Champion Tasha Simone.
There’s a new “enforcer” in NWA Coastal that’s not happy with the way things are going, and Dan Gleason will do his best to keep the peace, as he will attempt to spoil the NWA Coastal debut of NWA Grindhouse star Steve Savage!
In a battle between 2 former contenders for the NWA Junior Heavyweight Title, “The Reaper” Matt Conard, who makes his return to Coastal, will try to spoil the debut of high flyer Zac Vincent. Both workers want to keep their names in the Junior Heavyweight picture, and this might just be the most action packed match of the night.
Another NWA star from down South will be making his Coastal debut, as the up and coming star from NWA Mountain State, Bull Dozer will be taking on the powerful bad man Damien Alexander. Alexander was part of Tommy Cairo’s Young Lions Tournament several months ago, and made quite an impression. Bull Dozer will attempt to make an impression on Alexander that night..
Josh Adams has been complaining that Coastal Commissioner Tommy Cairo has been forcing him out of title contention by not giving him opponents worthy of him. Well, it appears that Adams got his wish, as Cairo has signed none other than former Ring of Honor and Force 1 star Alex Payne, in another battle of junior heavyweights.
Former NWA Coastal Champion Patch was attacked by his former manager Millionaire John II and his Boardwalk Mafia (Vicious Vince Ceres & Bobby Youngblood) at the last Coastal show during his match with Braydon Knight. While both Patch and Knight fought off the attack, when Knight offered his hand to Patch in an effort of solidarity, Patch smacked Knight’s hand away, and said he didn’t need any help. While Patch probably isn’t worthy of any sympathy on November 17th, he will have his hands full, as he will be facing the strongman of the Boardwalk Mafia, Vicious Vince Ceres, who feels that a victory over the former champ will move him into title contention for the NWA Coastal Iron Man Championship, currently held by “The Cuban Crippler” Ricky Reyes.
And in the OTHER Main Event, current NWA Coastal Heavyweight Champion “Bad Boy” Danny Pagan will have a rematch from the last show against the number one contender for the title, Jersey Shore Legend Biggie Biggs. At the October show, the Boardwalk Mafia interrupted the match, and while Biggs got the victory, Pagan kept the title. THIS time, Commissioner Tommy Cairo has ruled that this title defense will be a NO DQ, FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE match, and oh, did we mention that the Boardwalk Mafia would be BANNED from ringside??
This will truly be one of the most exciting cards of the year, one not to be missed, since it’s also NWA Coastal’s last show until 2013! Tickets are NOW $10, and are available at the Bayville Elks Lodge (247 Atlantic City Blvd. in Bayville), or via BrownPaperTickets.com.
