Four TV announcers cover this week’s TNA Impact

IMPACT Wrestling had two sets of announcers yesterday, the first two
tackling the first hour and then another pair doing the second hour.
Long-time TNA employee Jeremy Borash was paired up with Todd Keneley to
kick off the show with the veterans, Mike Tenay and Taz taking on the
second hour. Keneley is no stranger to professional wrestling as he has
been doing announcer for quite a few years including for the NWA, UPW and
NJPW. He was also the ring announcer for the Hulk Hogan Celebrity
Championship Wrestling television show which aired in 2008 on CMT.

– Mike Tenay tweeted: Felt like early Monday Nitro days last night on
#IMPACTWRESTLING working with @OfficialTAZ, @JeremyBorash and Todd Kenely.

Is there a logic to it that I’m not seeing currently? I mean besides giving two other guys a chance what is the point?

  2. Really? says:

Maybe Tenay wants to retire soon, or Taz is leaving soon, or both, and they want to get the new guys ready?

  3. The Point is so the fans don’t get annoyed of hearing 2 hours of the same announcer voices. 3 hours of Michael Cole is Brutal. Not even Jim ross can make up for it lol

I like the idea behind it but it would work better for a 3hr show then a 2hr show. At first when I heard different voices I thought maybe they were “Aces & 8s Announcers” but then it turned out it was JB so I knew that wasn’t the case.

Hah just thought of it, how great would it be if Aces & 8s brings back Don West to call their matches. l0l

I thought it was a dumb move back in WCW and still a dumb move in TNA. Keep the same people. Could you imagine watching a football game and that happened. People would lose there minds.

  6. Scott says:

I did wonder what was going on at first but any regular TNA watcher knows JB. The other guy I’ve seen in other feds and his debut was ok but its early days yet and it was a nice change from Taz and Tenay (the voice of WCW).

I didnt really notice a major difference, can we get the voice of TNA Don West back on commentary?
