Wrestling By The Numbers: Barbara ‘Kelly Kelly’ Blank

World Wrestling Entertainment has announced the release of former 1-Time WWE Divas Champion Barbara ‘Kelly Kelly’ Blank. The 25-year-old Jacksonville Florida native had just returned to the WWE last month after having been on a 3-month leave of absence. The WWE signed Blank back in May of 2006 and assigned her to Ohio Valley Wrestling. Kelly Kelly had no professional wrestling experience prior to being signed and only spent 1-month in the company’s developmental territory before being called up to the main roster. She debuted as apart of the Extreme Championship Wrestling brand in June of 2006. During her 6-year run with the WWE she became one of their most popular divas winning the 2011 Slammy Award for Most Divalicious Moment Of The Year.

Barbara Blank was trained in professional wrestling by the Ohio Valley Wrestling staff after she was signed by World Wrestling Entertainment. Prior to entering the wrestling business she studied broadcast journalism and was interested in getting into the news business. Blank was working as a model for Venus Swimwear and Hawaiian Tropic at the time of her signing back in 2006. It’s expected Blank will be leaving the professional wrestling world to get back into the modeling and entertainment industries.

  1. Jamie says:

They forgot to add……* 1 Banged by most wwe staff.

  2. I for one, am so glad she has finally left. Personally I would say she was a disgrace to the divas title, but that butterfly belt is a disgrace to itself nowadays.

  3. Daniel says:

Wow, she had an impressive career. Great talent, great diva and also a very beautiful and charismatic woman. I’ll miss seeing her each week but I’m glad she’s able to move on to bigger and better things while she’s still young.
