Wrestling By The Numbers: Gabriel ‘Tyler Reks’ Tuft

World Wrestling Entertainment has granted a release to superstar Gabriel ‘Tyler Reks’ Tuft who announced that due wanting to spend more time with his family he was leaving the organization and retiring from professional wrestling. The 33-year-old San Francisco California native had been under contract to the WWE for the past 4-years after first being signed to a developmental contract in January of 2008. He was first assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling where he won both the organization’s Heavyweight and Tag-Team Championships. Tyler Reks was brought up to the main roster in June of 2009 as apart of the ECW brand. In the past couple years he had worked mostly as a tag-team with wrestler Curt Hawkins. Back in 2010 Tyler Reks won a Slammy Award for Most Menacing Haircut.

Gabriel Tuft spent 5-years in the professional wrestling business after making his debut back in 2007 after having been trained by the late Mike Bell. Prior to signing with World Wrestling Entertainment he wrestled mainly in Ultimate Pro Wrestling. Even though he only competed as Tyler Reks in the WWE his other personas included Gabe Tuft and Taj Milano on the independent circuit. Tuft was known as being fairly active in social media while apart of the WWE as he hosted his own YouTube channel’s called The Rekking Crew and The Mid Card Mafia.
