TNA has gone HARDCORE! This year’s Hardcore Justice opens up with the intro video and then we cut to the arena as the pyro goes off (no fires tonight). Tenay and Taz hype up the card for tonight and then they go over the BFG Series Leaderboard.

Kid Kash & Gunner vs. “Mexican Warrior” Chavo Guerrero Jr. & “Super Mex” Hernandez

Hernandez is sporting some new gear adorned in the “Super Mex” logo. Kash & Gunner jump Chavo & MEx at the bell and get things kicked off. Gunner is sporting a bandage over his right eye from an injury he suffered at a live show. Chavo catches Gunner with a dropkick and then hits Kash with the Three Amigos! Chavo springs to the top but Gunner knocks him off and the heels go to work on Chavo. They whip Chavo into the ropes and connect with a Double Shoulder Block for an early nearfall. Kash tags back in and chokes Chavito on the middle rope and then nails him with repeated right hands. Gunner back in and he catapults Chavo into the ropes as Chavo was lying underneath them for another nearfall. Kash comes back in and the heels hit a Slingshot Double Suplex on Chavo and Kash goes to work on the crowd taunting them. Kash gets a couple of nearfalls on the 3rd generation superstar and then whips him into the ropes but eats a Spinning Headscissors Takeover from Chavo! Gunner clotheslines Chavo from the apron and then Kash pretty much crotches Chavo on the bottom rope before tagging Gunner back in. The heels whip Chavo into the ropes and Gunner catches him with a clothesline. Gunner gets a nearfall and then puts Chavo in a headlock. Gunner tosses Chavo into the ropes and connects with a big backdrop for another nearfall. Kash tags back in and hits a series of strikes and then gets the referee to turn his head and look at Mex so Kash can kick Chavo in the balls. Kash hits a Snapmare Takeover and then locks in an Armbar. Gunner back in (no tag as the referee was dealing with Mex trying to save his partner) and the heels double team Chavo in their corner. Gunner stands on Chavo’s head and tags Kash back in. Kash taunts Chavo and then pokes him in the eyes as Chavo tried to fight out of the corner. Kash hits Chavo with kicks and chops and then puts him in a Camel Clutch. Chavo is able to stand up on his feet getting Kash on his shoulders and drops him with an Electric Chair Drop! Chavo almost reaches Hernandez but Kash stops him and tags in Gunner who drops an Elbow on Chavo as Kash held onto Chavo. Gunner tags Kash right back in and holds Chavo as Kash kicks away at him. Kash and Chavo exchange strikes but then as Chavo went for a dropkick Kash stops and then Catapults Chavo into the corner. Chavo lands on the corner and moonsaults off but Kash ducks underneath him. Chavo lands on his feet and then Kash & Chavo clothesline each other! Hernandez tags in and nails Kash with a series of clotheslines! Mex whips Kash into the ropes and sends him clear across the ring with a Shoulder Block! Gunner comes in and goes after Mex but Mex destroys him with a Shoulder Block as well! Hernandez tosses Kash across the ring with a Hip Toss and then a Splash in the corner! Hernandez hits the CTM Slam but Gunner breaks up the pin! Hernandez nails the heels with a Double Clothesline as he came off the ropes! Gunner slides out to the floor and Mex dives over the top with the SUPER MEX DIVE! Chavo tagged Mex as he dove! Hernandez hits a Slingshot Shoulderblock onto Kash and then Chavo dives off the top with the Frog Splash for the pin!

Winner: Chavo & Hernandez via pinfall (Frog Splash)

  1. Jose Guapo says:

This seemed like a really solid ppv. They gave all their matches time to unfold. I do feel like their tag team division is destroyed tho as they are making random teams out of thin air. Still a very solid ppv tho

  2. What? says:

Thanks for the recap! It sounds very exciting! One thing, though! Exclamation points lose their purpose (adding special emphasis) when they’re used all the time!!! Sorry to be Grammar Police Guy! I’ll stop now.

  3. brandon says:

Solid ppv? It sucked the only match that had potential was the 4 way and I think it delivered but that is all.

  4. brandon says:

I’ll say the tables match was okay too. Tables match’s suck in general but they did pretty good with it.

  5. James says:

You want a random tag team? EY and ODB will defend the Knockout Tag Team belts against Madison and Earl Hebner. Mark my words!

  6. eddie says:

Wait saying TNA does random teams so does wwe kofi and truth, Jericho miz, Jericho big show, kofi evan borne.

  7. ironFNmaiden says:

I liked the finish to the opener

I feel a ppv with 3 four ways is already flawed….it’s just trying to throw as much talent out there…..but I gave them all a chance and I liked what turned into a three way.

I like watching Roode work…..but that world title match wasn’t anything great……wasn’t bad by any means, but just match.

I ALWAYS want to see Kenny King wrestle.

  8. Big Hoss Daddy says:

Tna has been putting out great ppv’s the last 3-4 months. What does Tna have to do to satisfy the marks and Haters out there. They have gotten rid of the old wrestlers from the main event scene. They pushed home grown talent and put young guys at top. They went live and have been putting out good Tv. If you all want one company keep up the bashing…..Haters.

  9. The Legend Killer says:

JeriShow is one of the greatest tag teams ever…

JeriMiz should be a great duo but they didn’t give time to develope.

Air Boom (Kofi & Evan) makes a good duo.

  10. eddie says:

The point is there was not reason for the teams

  11. Chris says:

Is Aces and 8’s supposed to be TNA’s version of Wade Barrett’s Nexus?

  12. Science & Violence says:

@Big Hoss Daddy, once TNA starts having dance contests, goofy wrestler talk shows, big balloons, brighter fireworks, and a lanky fembot who can’t execute the Diamond Cutter correctly THEN the McMarks will rejoice and LOVE TNA!11

Ah who am I kidding? Those single celled amoebas will forever hate anything TNA does.

  13. What? says:

@James: Most of me is afraid you’re right, but a tiny, tiny part of me is hoping you are.

@Chris: More like nWo. Remember, we’re in the Hogan/Bischoff era now. I’m just surprised it took this long to put together an invasion angle.
