Jericho and MVP on Nash’s comments on Benoit & Guerrero

Kevin Nash: “When Benoit and Guerrero hugged [at the end of WrestleMania XX], that was the end of the business.”

Via Twitter:

Jericho: “Funny how @realkevinnash says wrestling ‘died’ when Benoit and Guerrero were champs-Yet the worst year for WWE biz was 95 when he was on top.”

Nash: “Once again the puppet master pulls the marks strings. Knew Jericho was a closet mark. First one eliminated on a bullsh*t sing show…REALLY!!”

Jericho: “Hope @realkevinnash doesn’t tear his quad tweeting! #typicalbigman #nwothirdwheel.”

Roddy Piper: “HOW CAN YOU NOT DIG JERICHO”

MVP: “Kevin Nash is right. Smaller guys don’t draw. I mean who would pay any money to watch itty bitty guys like Mayweather or Paquiao?”

“Let the record show, I LIKE @RealKevinNash he’s always been cool to me. I just don’t agree with his opinion. Doesn’t mean we’re hostile.”

“I’m not upset at all. I just sarcastically expressed a difference of opinion. Nash has always been real cool to me.”

  2. havok says:

didnt nash and his buddies do the same thing in 1996 and break kayfabe

  3. havok says:

and since when does defending your friends make you a mark, so everytime nash sticks up for hall, does that make him a mark

  4. Joshua Drehmer says:

Best part of Nash’s comment was who watches porn to see a 3 inch dick…I don’t know about you, but Nash…I’m not watching porn to see the size of some guy’s cock

  5. Captain Ass says:

Oh Kevin, your perspective is that of a typical big man like Jericho hash tagged. So let me get this straight, for someone to be taken seriously they have to be 6’6 or taller and have tons of muscle on them? What about your buddy Sean Waltman? Not exactly my idea of a big man. To me, it’s good to have a mixture of different looking guys in wrestling. To “stereotype” is typical of people in all walks of life, but Nash shouldn’t be talking about people not being able to draw when he didn’t draw anything when he was WWE champion.

  6. Chris Williams says:

To quote Ricky Morton in an interview where he shot on Nash some years back…”Nash sucks! When he was Champion, he couldn’t draw flies in a shit house!” Thanks for the quote, Ricky…

  7. Baciagaloop Jones says:

Havok, That is a great point!!
But what Nash also forgets is it was his Clique-Mate, HBK Shawn Michaels that set the standard for the “Small-Guys” in the industry !! At Wrestlemania 12,as Nash and his “Larger Than Life” Opponent, The Undertaker put on one hell of a train-wreck of a match, it was Bret Hart & HBK that stole the show, and put on one of the greatest mathes in Wrestlemania history.
Nash is just another bitter wrestler that is jealous of todays Superstars, and how much the business has passed him by…
Imagine The WWE led by the Eli Cottonwood,..Mason Ryan,..Jackson Andrews,…Khali,..The Yeti,..Nathan Jones,..Aloisa,..Big Show, and of course it’s long-time,undefeated champion,..Diesel !!!!?? Meltzer would run outta’ 5-stars to put on all the matches!!

  8. Mr. Kimura says:

Maybe Vince will make an angle out of this.

  9. Kyle Christie says:

I thought a mark was someone who didn’t know that wrestling was scripted. So what are the other definitions of it?

  10. Adam says:

    JERICHO! YES!

  11. Danny says:

gotta love Jericho! Can someone explain why Big Show is not the champ? Oh, I guess ‘The World’s Largest Athlete’ doesn’t exactly put asses in the seats either. People love wrestlers with heart no matter what size they are…and Undertaker! LOL!

  12. james says:

Jericho is funny and nash wants to talk about titles well what about the poke of doom thats when wcw died.

  13. jeriholic says:

WCW died for a lot of fans after the finger poke of doom, it’s true. But it didn’t kill WCW, ratings were still strong even after that happened.

What killed WCW, which most people like to forget (or have only heard the WWE side) was time warner no longer wanting wrestling on their networks.

But Nash is totally wrong, saying Benoit and Guerrero killed the wrestling business, it was really a great moment from two good friends, who both reached a height in wrestling that I’m sure both men dreamed about, but never thought it would happen for them. If anything it’s one of my fav Wrestlemania moments.
