More on the departure of Kharma

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the decision to release Kharma was based on her being hard to work with and stubborn about suggestions of how they wanted her to change her in ring character. Kharma had been in Florida training for her return to the ring, but got the knock for being out shape.

wonder what GREAT gimmick they wanted to give her?

  2. art123guy says:

How much ‘in shape’ does a woman wrestler in the WWE need to be for a 2 minute match?

Did no one know what she looked like? Did the WWE think she was wearing padding at TNA to make her look bigger? I don’t say that to be mean, she’s awesome (kong) the way she is.

As always, the WWE has no clue what to do with a woman that isn’t thin and can wrestle.

But signing Sara Del Ray shows a change in the WWE philosophy…yeah right.

Sad that they didn’t know what to do with her, but the excuse that she wasn’t in shape doesn’t fly AT ALL because they know who they hired. Damn shame, I was looking forward to some matches with her & Beth Phoenix.

Vince just doesn’t get it sometimes. Like when he wanted Vader to lose weight. Hello?

  5. says:

Just throwing this out there, she was pregnant for a little while before she lost the kid and maybe she found it difficult to get back into ring shape?

WWE wasn’t the place for her anyway, she could have a much better career in Japan or even TNA if that bridge could be mended.

  6. T says:

    Weight? Ummm ok then.

  7. MattR says:

Her gimmick was probably going to be Mrs.Funkasaurus(excuse spelling).

  8. jon says:

i know why she was released, it’s simple… the masses dont care for fat black chicks.

  9. Captain Ass says:

Don’t play the race card jon. Assuming she was difficult to work with why would they make an exception for a new employee with very little TV time? She wasn’t in the position to bargain. Jim Ross is the prime example of being a team player as he has done it all for WWE, but Kharma evidently wasn’t a team player and that’s what any company wants.

  10. art123guy says:

    @Captain Ass

Jim Ross wasn’t treated really bad until later on in his WWE career. Plus, he still got to be JR. Kharma is a monster heel, she looks and acts the part. While we don’t know for sure, I could see WWE trying to give her a Bertha Faye type gimmick just to see if she was a team player.

And I don’t think WWE wants team players, they want people to do as they are told.

  11. dave says:

what does the fact she’s black have to do with anything?

“the masses don’t care for fat chicks”* but even that is a false statement.

  12. Ryno says:

This is what they meant by creative having nothing for her. She shot down every suggestion creative gave. She should have shut up and took what she could get. No pay day now.
