Arda Ocal of theScore Television Network had a chance to speak with wrestling legend Larry “The Axe” Hennig, father of “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig and grandfather of WWE superstar Michael McGillicutty. In the clip, Hennig talks about his initial displeasure of his grandson not using the “Hennig” name but then details a conversation he had with Vince McMahon which put his mind at ease, as well as possible future plans for McGillicutty to use the name sometime in the future.

Hennig also talks about wrestling Roddy Piper in Piper’s first ever wrestling match, facing Andre the Giant, memories of his son Curt and more.

He should be unhappy. It was and remains a stupid move by the WWE. McGillicutty does not even sound nice.

Vince knows what fans want, because his ego told him so!

But if it was Hennig being used and he’s being misused then you’d say, “stop using Hennig, they’re tarnishing the name”…
