TNA issues press release on signing Chavo Guerrero

Third generation wrestling standout to debut in the ring Thursday, July 26, live on SPIKE TV!

NASHVILLE, TN (July 19, 2012) – TNA IMPACT WRESTLING’s President Dixie Carter announced the signing of Chavo Guerrero, Jr. today via twitter. He will make his IMPACT WRESTLING debut on Thursday, July 26 on SPIKE TV. This signing means that two members of the legendary Guerrero family are part of the TNA family; as Chavo is the nephew of TNA commentator Hector Guerrero. Tune in Thursdays at 8:00pm ET to catch IMPACT WRESTLING live on Spike TV.

Hailing from one of the more storied and successful families in the pro wrestling arena, the Guerrero family has racked up more championship titles and accolades than anyone. He is the son of Chavo, Sr. and his grandfather and patriarch of the Guerrero family, the late Gory Guerrero, is still one of the most famous wrestlers in Mexico.

Having competed all over the world for various promotions, Chavo has won a number of championship gold, including a tag-team gold with his late uncle Eddie Guerrero. Prior to signing with TNA, he appeared on the highly successful ratings giant Ring Ka King in India.

    Ooooooo… Chavo *Music hits*

  2. Ostego says:

    Brother Chav Cage Jr.

  3. Boogeyman says:

Chavito…. The saving grace of TNA

  4. Jamie says:

Not that it matter but can’t people just show up without it always being announced on twitter? Unless he’s working backstage. I guess the element of “surprise” is dead along with kayfabe, territories and good acting also.

  5. Kerry says:

I agree with Jamie. In the good old days, it was more entertaining when a wrestler just showed up on tv in a different company after having just wrestled somewhere else.

  6. Drew says:

    Chavito Heat!

  7. Nuff Said says:

May bot have the same intro music depending on who owns the copyright to it, him or WWE. That would be all Dixie needs is Chavo uses a WWE owned intro song and TNA gets sued

  8. Hipnosis says:

But Kerry there’s a 90 day no compete clause in WWE now lol

Also Chavo’s been buried in WWE and they’re making his debut a big deal now. I think this is perfect the way its going. Plus a shock debut is… un-original. This is something a little more refreshing. A LEGEND DEBUTS. They never really went this way with a big star except Hogan and Elijah Burke 😛

  9. T says:

    The return of Kerwin White??

  10. Meh says:

Maybe Chavo Guerrero Jr will become World Champion in TNA.
