TNA Quick News
Jul 12, 2012 - by Dr. Jerry Wiseman
–Wes Brisco being looked at by TNA makes little sense since the company has a number of people in OVW who are ready. Brisco has talent and ability but he did not make it in New York and I honestly do not think he would be a good fit in TNA either.
–According to sources in OVW there are a number of workers ready to go if called upon by TNA but the issue is once OVW has them ready and bags packed TNA will call and change their mind. I was told one of the people I am high on who I think would make a good addition to the TNA roster will not be ready for some time yet.
–With Ric Flair taking spots at JCW shows and biding his time until he can head back to New York I cannot understand why he is still on the TNA roster page. Flair, at this point in his career, needs to retire gracefully instead of trying to continue to live the lifestyle he is known for. All he is doing with is antics is destroying his legacy.
–Hulk Hogan and Sting as a tag team at Bound for Glory is not something worth paying money for even though it would be story line related if they face the guys who attacked Sting. Hogan is not MONEY these days and Sting never really was.
–Abyss was in OVW recently and he looked horrible to the point he was almost unrecognizable.
–Nashville courts appear to not see the lawsuit filed by TNA against the WWE as that major of an issue, at least not as TNA would have one believe. The suit, filed by TNA, claims that a former employee gave contract information to executives in the WWE and that the WWE allegedly used that information to try and lure talent away from TNA. TNA received a temporary restraining order keeping the WWE from destroying files which lapsed and the judge said was not required. TNA had hoped to expedite discovery as well and force the WWEs hand but the judge said the two will have to work out a schedule.
–The issues between Viacom and Direct TV will made Impact unavailable to 20 million people tonight which even at 1% of those viewing would hurt the overall ratings.
–Sonjay Dutt has said he expects to be back in the ring and fully recovered in two months after separating his shoulder at Destination X.
