Dynamite Kid shoot DVD news
Jul 12, 2012 - by Dr. Jerry Wiseman
Two major companies were said to be negotiating with former WWE Tag Team Champion Dynamite Kid for the rights to produce a shoot video with him but word is Dynamite wanted such an exorbitant amount of money it is unlikely to happen.
RF Video was negotiating with Kid and his daughter and had a greed on a price that RF Video CEO Rob Feinstein considered workable but another agent acting on behalf of Dynamite contacted Feinstein and suggested RF Video pay $25,000 for the rights to do the DVD.
Highspots.com was also interested in doing a shoot DVD with Dynamite Kid as well and at one time were to partner with RF Video but the price Dynamite Kid and his representatives quoted was considered too much for either company to pay up-front and be able to recoup considering the low profit margin on shoot DVDs.
Highspots was said to still be interested but at a reduced price and to date no progress has been made. It is thought that Dynamite Kid is in such horrific condition both physically and mentally that doing the DVD would be a challenge for both Kid and the videographer. Representatives for RF Video said they had initially hoped that they would be able to use subtitles on the DVD and possibly offset some of their expenses by having Kid autograph memorabilia but those hopes were dashed after further conversation with Kid’s agents.
