Report: WWE Signs Northeast Independent Wrestler

PWInsider is reporting  that Matt Taven is in the process of signing a WWE developmental deal. Taven received rave reviews for his match with Mike Mondo on Ring of Honor TV and recently worked an FCW dark match. He also appeared on an episode of Monday Night Raw on 3/5/12 as a member of Teddy Long’s security team that escorted David Otunga and John Laurinaits out of the building.

Taven cut his teeth on the New England scene and eventually started working on shows throughout the Northeast and beyond. He is considered the top guy in New England since Mike Bennett and Tommaso Ciampa signed with ROH.

While his signing is not confirmed, one source stated  “I believe it’s only a matter of time.”  Taven was trained by Spike Dudley and “Brutal” Bob Evans

Evem if they don’t wanna admit it the Indy guys are the most dedicated & best route to go.

They’re admitting it by signing these guys up. It’s intriguing to see so many signings, are they for future call ups or the Network? There are rumours that many of these signings are to beef up the roster for the Network but that itself seems a big if and when, so who knows for sure.

Maybe Vince has plans for a WWE Network TV show called “Screw the Indy’s” where he’ll literally have them over a barrel..

or so some fans would have you think.
