Wrestling By The Numbers: Lauren ‘Angelina Love’ Williams‏

TNA Wrestling has part ways with long-time knockouts division mainstay Lauren ‘Angelina Love’ Williams. The 30-year-old Toronto Ontario native was a former 5-Time TNA Knockouts Champion and won the TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Championship on one occasion with Winter. Williams had spent a combined 5-years with TNA Wrestling spanning 3-stints with the organization. She first debuted briefly with the company in 2004 as Angel Williams. Her most successful run was during a 2-year period from 2007-2009 where she along with Velvet Sky formed the popular group ‘The Beautiful People’. She was released in September of 2009 after having Visa problems but returned at the beginning of 2010. She had been used seldom over the past couple months leading up to her release.

Lauren Williams is a 12-year professional wrestling veteran who first debuted back in the year 2000. She was trained originally by wrestler El Fuego and then received further training at Deep South Wrestling. She started her career working as a valet in numerous independent organizations around Canada. After her brief stint with TNA Wrestling she was signed by World Wrestling Entertainment to a developmental contract in June of 2004. She spent 3-years training and competing in Deep South Wrestling and after it closed wrestled one match against Serena in Ohio Valley Wrestling before being released. She also spent time in AAA in Mexico wrestling under the name Canadian Angel in both 2007 and 2011.

    A decent wrestler with solid training, indie experience, good looks, and reliable mic skills – but instead of bringing her up to the main roster, the WWE released her and chose to push talentless models like Kelly Kelly & the Bella Twins even though they had no wrestling experience, no training, and no abilities to cut a decent promo. John Laurinitis is an idiot.
